I have a unibrow! My friends and family make fun of it,
but Mom says I can’t touch it ‘til 9th grade. Help!
Usually what Mom says goes, but when you’re being made fun
of for something that’s so easy to fix, it seems silly to let the fun ‘n’ games
continue at your expense.
Pull your mom aside and have a serious heart-to-heart. Tell
her you totally respect her decision, but that your unfortunate unibrow is
seriously affecting your self-esteem. Give her a blow-by-blow of all the mean
comments you’re subjected to and tell her that if people weren’t laughing at
your looks, you wouldn’t mind as much.
Fix the sitch
Now it’s time to ask her
to help you fix it. You don’t have to go to a salon to have a pro pluck or wax,
and you don’t have to groom the rest of your eyebrows, but she could totally
pluck the middle for ya…and you’d still technically be following her rules.
