There is this guy in my grade who I really like. He likes me back and we’ve texted a bunch, but he never talks to me in school. Why do you think that is?

Shy

For some inexplicable reason, shy guys seem to outnumber outspoken ones, at least when it comes to matters of the heart. If you’re always with your group of girls, he might not know how to single you out and get your attention.

 

Nervous

If this is the first time he’s seriously interested in a girl, your crush probably has no idea what to do about it. If this is the case, taking the initiative to talk to him first might just be the way to go.

 

Waiting for you to make the first move

I know, I know: Dating 101 rules stipulate that Prince Charming is supposed to ask you out. Just about every guy we’ve talked to, however, is totally freaked out by the mere thought of asking you out. Take the pressure off by inviting him out for a slice of pizza after school.

 

Not quite as into you as you think…yet

Texts are like emails: You can throw in tons of smilies, but someone still might take what ya say the wrong way. I’m not saying there’s no chance for the two of you ever, but he might think of you as a friend (for now) rather than a potential girlfriend. Getting to know him in person will make your interest—and compatibility—clear, so go for it, girlie!

SO there's this guy I like. He's only one grade older than me, but that means we don't have any classes together! But, I used to Facebook chat him a lot and eventually he slipped his number to me (cause my laptop was dying). So now I've started texting him, but I feel clingy cause I'm always the first one to text him! He always texts back and our conversations last pretty long and stay interesting, but I still feel like I bother him cause I text him EVERYday. When I pass him in school, he looks at me and I smile and wave but I never talk to him in person. How do I get to talk to him in person, or even just get him to text me first?? Or both? Thanks

My crush have no classes together but we spend lunchtimes together. We chat on facebook a lot as well. He says things like: Thinking about you, Miss you, So sad you weren't there... ect. But I don't know if he means it or not and he doesn't say it to me when we are talking face to face. It might be cause there are usually other people around, so I don't know. I'm really confused and I don't want to ruin our friendship by aking him out or something. What should I do?

Hey girl, the next time you see him in person you could ask him if he missed you or was thinking about you at an earlier time.  Also, check out GL's ice breakers.  Start getting to know him in-person a little bit better before you ask him out (by the way, if you want to ask him out, you should totes go for it).  Good luck, chica.

I have this crush on one of my guy friends. We've known each other for about half a year, and I'm not sure if he likes anybody. I don't want to date him now(cause I'm in 6th grade)but in the future would be totally fine. And I'm afraid if I ask him out in the future, and he rejects me that we would have an awkward friendship... his guy friend always tease us, and my girlfriends says he like me... HELP!!!

 

Hey girlie, if you're not ready to date yet then it's not even an issue right now. For now just enjoy his friendship and work at staying close friends with him. If you're meant to be good friends then telling him how you feel won't make things awkward.

He may just be shy, if you really like him I would be subtle and make a move. Depending on his age, if he is older it could be because of another reason but a lot of the times guys our age or younger dont have the same feelings about getting together like we do. Some of them just need a little help or nudge.

I used to think i was in love with my bf but now im not so sure, it has been 3 months and we havent hung outside of school even once, he never says sweet things anymore, he never even said happy v day on valentines day! Then he was up till one in the morning but couldnt answer i text i sent at 4 p.m that same day! Plus i never feel like we can have endless conversations and stuff like that because he goes to bed so early and at school we totally click but outside of school he is a whole different person im not sure that i like! Please help me! Answer asap please because i am desperate!

Hey girlie,

Maybe you should talk to your boyfriend about these feelings before you make a decision you aren't happy with. Tell him what you have said here and what you think the issues in your relationship are, because a good relationship is based on honesty, so you'll need to be able to be open with him. He might not realize these things and have an explanation, or you might realize you aren't right for each other. Either way, an open and honest discussion would sort these things out!
