Speedy tips to tone up fast!

Try these super fast toners to target prob areas and majorly tone up. Trainer Nicole Clancy dishes exactly what to do to get your ultimate shape.

Perform these moves every other day. Remember: go slow to eliminate momentum during the moves and see super charged results.

Speedy move for your legs: Superman Squat
Stand on your right leg and bend forward slightly from your hips. Reach your arms forward while extending your left leg behind you. Bend your right leg lowering your body down about 6 inches. Straighten your right leg and return to your starting position to complete one rep. Perform 12 times to complete one set. Repeat the movement standing on your left leg, and holding your right leg straight out behind you.

Speedy move to tone your arms: Plank Push-backs
Start in a plank position. Keeping your legs straight, pull your hips up and back into a downward-facing dog position (you’ll be on all fours with your arms straight and your hips up in the air). Lower your hips and return to your plank position to complete one rep. Perform 12 times.

Speedy move to tighten those thighs: Side Squat
Start with your feet together. Take a step about 12 inches to your right side, arms extended shoulder-level, straight out in front of you. Bend your knees and hips and sit back into a squat. Push off with your right foot and return to the center. Repeat the same movement of stepping to your left side about 12 inches. Perform 12 repetitions alternating to each side.
 
Speedy move for awesome abs: Squat and Twist
Stand with your feet hip-width apart and your arms straight overhead. Bend your knees and hips; sit back lowering your hips about six inches toward the floor while keeping your arms straight overhead. Upon standing up, lift your right knee. Bend your left elbow and touch your left elbow to your right knee to complete one rep. Repeat squat, lift your left knee and touch your right elbow to your left knee. Perform 12 total squats.

Hey babe,

When you do cardio, results generally show up pretty quickly as long as you're eating properly as well.

In terms of muscle, that generally takes a month to really show results.

I'm not the best with fashion. Everyone wears Aeropostale or Hollister but I'm more into flouncy florals with belts. What should I wear thats in between?




Hey girl,

First of all, you should wear what YOU wanna wear, not what everyone else is! But if you really want to, try pairing one item from Hollister or Aeropostale with a flouncy floral. For example, you could get a pair of jeans from hollister and pair them with a cute, florally top. Hope that helps! x0x0

Please help my brother always make un of me saying your fat and fatty my dad told me that i need to lose weight he said but he still loves me and when i was at school alot of people was calling me fat sometimes i go in the bathroom and cry and say i hate myself sometimes and say i want to kill myself but i don't want to and never will please help me im only 10. i haven't been to the doctor lately so can you give me like a link routine i can do this summer thanks♥makiyah




Hey girl, I'm so sorry people are treating you like that. I think what would help you a lot, however, with finding that routine is talking with a doctor about what's been going on and asking him suggestions on what to do. As for the teasing, be sure to tell your dad and brother that what they say hurts (your brother especially). Your dad means well, but his approach just isn't the right one to take right now and he may not realize how hurtful what he's doing is. Please talk to a counselor too if you ever feel like you want to give up. It's so important you reach out and realize you've got a team of people who want to help you here. Tell the counselor about the bullying at school too -- she can help it stop but she can't help solve a problem she doesn't even know about.

I am REALLY chubby. I want to lose about 20-30 pounds before school starts next year. What are some of the quickest and easiest ways to lose weight?




Hey girlie -- when it comes to weight loss, your best bet is to increase your fruit and veggie intake and decrease those foods that aren't so good for you. Also, you should increase the amount of water you drink on a regular basis and incorporate cardio  exercises. Always remember, before you consider *any* type of diet, you should speak to your doctor first Smile

Ok so Im trying to tone up pretty quickly, please tell me if this sounds like a good plan and about how much time it should take to tone up: (i do all of these 2x a day)
10 3 second hold crunches
10 2 part crunches
10 squat jump puush up things
20 lunges (10 each leg)
and running on the treadmill every few days

Hey Chica!

 This sounds like a good start to getting more toned. As you progress through your workout, I would definitely add to the number of times you do each of the exercises. It will keep challenging your body! I also recommend trying some yoga poses and using some free weights for your arms. Also, since the weather is getting nicer, you can go running outside instead of the treadmill. It might take a couple weeks before you start seeing results so don't get discouraged Smile Have fun!

Hey girly! You could always do pushups, that's great for arms. Also, try yoga or pilates. As for workout music, my gym playlist contains everyone from Lady Gaga to Katy Perry, Green Day, the Gin Blossoms and Creedence Clearwater Revival Smile

you can do cardio before or after--Try 2-3 sets for each and see how your bodies can take it.  Get some snacks with lots of protein to help build muscle! Have fun Smile

~MOD~What forms of cardio are there? I know of running and dancing (I don't like dancing), which is fine, my bike isn't working, and the community pool isn't open until May. What else can I do for cardio other than running?

Hey girlie,

Trampolines are awesome for exercise - they can tone our muscles and give us cardio exercise without putting much stress on our joints! Definitely get out there and try to "jog" for at least 30 minutes each day. Remember to warm up beforehand and cool down afterward with stretches! Try to incorporate other types of exercise like yoga and kickboxing as well - cardio + toning is super effective Smile

ok so i cant decide if i should get the nike free run+ shoes for races and speed work or not. See, since track is starting, I really want a race shoe that is light, but the only reason I'm not sure is because my parents will only pay $40 for running shoes(and the nike frees are $85). So i can pay for the nike frees, and train with my old running shoes, or pay for normal shoes and not have to pay extra money but have to run with a heavy shoe. I can't decide; plz help!

MOD! Almost every time i run (track) my side starts cramping really bad. And its not that type that you get when its that time of the month. I stretch really good before i run but nothin seems to help. Why is this happening? And what can I do to help? Thanks you so muchSmile




Hey girlie. That happens to me too sometimes when I run. It's usually from eating and then running. You need time for your food to digest in your system so you don't cramp up. Try eating a few hours before you have practice. If you need a spike of energy before practice, grab a candy bar (seriously!) or a sports drink!

Hey girlie. These things take time. You have to be on a set plan for awhile before you will start seeing results. You also have to keep up your plan from week to week. If so, after a few weeks, you should begin to see results. Target should have a cheap travel bag.

Hey girlie. Try consuming more food. If you're so athletic, it could be that you are burning off weight, meaning you need to eat more to compensate.
