I love to hang with guys, but I don’t know how to flirt. Loving sports and being kind of a tomboy doesn’t help. I get labeled as “just a friend.” Help!

There is a guy really like. My friends say that he keeps flirting with me during class and he does. We dated for a day but then the day after he pretended that the day never happened. I think he likes me back. I'm in forth grade though but everyone in class is dating and me and him are alone but he is perfect so I think other girls like him too. Am I too young to use the word"LOVE". Cause I think I like him a lot. Love knows no age. He still talks about his ex though he says nice things about her. I am so confused. I think about him 24/7. I think I am in love but I know I am but he is Mr. Perfect for me. What do I do?

 

hey! love is a very personal thing so only as you get older will you be able to decide how you're feeling right now. I think you should just get to know this guy and be his friend. If you really do love him you'll be able to enjoy friendship for now. No need to rush into anything Smile

This is my absolute fave flirting guide on GL.com - read it and use those tips to help ya get better! Smile Instead of making your goal "get popular," try to talk with more confidence. The reason why popular people are popular is because they're comfortable with themselves, they're out-going, they're involved in lots of activities, and they are confident with what they have to say. Even when you're in those awkward situations where you're surrounded by people you don't know, try making small talk - make a comment about the reading you did for homework, ask the person next to you if they're ready for the test coming up, ask the group around you if they're going to the big dance on Friday, etc. You get the idea - just be out-going and engage other people in conversations. Be lively and friendly. Ask them questions about themselves, because everyone wants to feel special. Be yourself - but be the best version of yourself you can be Smile

I had posted that i like this guy who is a senior and is about 4 years older than me. I'm really shy around him, so i asked a moderator for advice about a week ago and she suggested i get his number. So i did get his number on friday before vacay and ive texted him once which was on sunday. It's been about 3 days now and im wondering if i should wait longer or not to text him again. Just to chat. But i dont wanna bug him. Or should i just wait to see if he texts me? thanks

 

Sorry again about the mix up, but hopefully I can help here! When you texted him on Sunday did he seem interested in talking? Did you guys have a nice conversation? I think a few days is a good amount of time before talking to him again. This way he'll know you're thinking about it, but not necessarily obsessing over him. You could wait to see if he texts you, but because you already made the first couple of moves he maybe expecting you to text him first. If you are bugging him I think you'll be able to tell. Short responses, or no response at all can help clear that up. Hopefully this won't be the case at all Smile Good luck, girl!

ok I need some advice here. I know this guy and me and my best friend "annie" Its not her real name but she and I started talking about 2 guys from our school. "Jason" and "Mark". Again not real names but she used to like "Jason" but not anymore and she said that she thinks that "Mark" really liked me and I said that I had never noticed it. I started to see if what she said was true. I have regular algebra, english, advanced algebra and french with him. One day i caught him looking at me in advanced algebra and the next day again in french class. there are only about 10 ppl in my advanced algebra class and we work in groups of 3 ppl in this class. one day the other 2 ppl in his group were talking to the teacher and he was just standing in front our table doing a wierd and kinda dumb dance move. and i have caught him doing a few other things but nothing to noticeable. i think i kinda like him back. does it sound like he likes me back?

Usually if a guy likes you, his actions will show it!  If he makes an effort to talk to you or try to get your attention, then he may be a little interested...Just pay attention to his little gestures, but don't think too much about it all!

Is having a FWB ever a good idea? Some of my friends are into that sort of thing and I know if my mom ever found out that I was doing that or had a fwb she would be very upset. Hey girl, it sounds like it may just be a gut reaction: maybe you're afraid of what'll happen so you're convincing yourself you don't feel anything? Whatever the case, I think before you shrug this guy off completely, you should give him a chance to hang with you one on one. Get to know him for his personality.

I still really like my ex-boyfriend. We went out in 8th grade, and I didn't know how to be in a relationship pretty much because it was one of my firsts. I then moved schools. Now we're in 10th grade, 2-3 years have passed. I've tried to get over him, but I can't. I've liked other guys, but they don't work out at all. Ever since this last Christmas, we text all the time, and HE'S the one that starts the conversations. Yet I haven't seen him since 8th grade. I tell my best friend this, and she says he probably still likes me. However it's sooo hard to tell, since he never ever shows his emotions. To anyone. But at times, we'll talk deep. He never does that. Also ever since 8th grade, one of his BFFs has been liking me. AND TO ADD TO THAT, I recently went to a hockey game & one of my ex's other BFFs was there, asked for my number, and now he likes me.
What should I do?
P.S...sorry for the lenghty novel-like comment. Haha. :]




Hey girlie. If you still like this guy, let him know. If he does have feelings for you, he'll be more likely to tell you. Maybe he's just being shy. I wouldn't worry too much about his friends because you still like your ex- so go after who you like.

They usually treat me different than other girls they don't talk to me outside of school (hey we're only in seventh grade) but in school they are usually around me when they're upset and stuff. They really like to joke with me or test me sometimes. They usually say my name when they talk to me verses hey. Am I one of the guys or something else?

Flirting like that is so much fun, since I now have a bf I dont do it like I used to but you just need to look sexy the next time you want to flirt and go for it. There was one guy who I used to like and we both liked sports so we watched a game together and we ended up kissing on his couch, it was so great. But I started flirting with him and it went from there.
