5 great spring dates

Check these out, too...

Ahh, spring is in the air, and it’s time to let love blossom… OK, too cheesy.  But seriously, warmer days equal more ways to have fun with the fella in your life.  We’ve got a few sweet spring outings for you and your guy, whether he’s a brand-new crush or a long-time BF. Have fun!

Go for a bike ride. Biking is not only great exercise, but also a fun, not too lovey-dovey way to spend time with your guy. Scope out the bike trails in your area, or just go for a ride around the neighborhood.  Feelin’ adventurous? Try rollerblading or skateboarding. Just don’t forget the safety gear, kay?

Have a picnic in the park. The standard dinner-and-a-movie date is awesome, but between tickets, drinks and dessert, it can add up fast. Now that the sun’s out, take advantage of a way chill (and way cheap) date opportunity. Pack up some fuss-free food like sandwiches, grapes, lemonade, grab a blanket and head out to the park. A laid back way to just chat with your BF.

Connect at the observatory. Stargazing is uber-romantic, but between city lights and the ‘rents’ rules, it’s not always a possibility. Instead, head to the local observatory to look at the constellations. It’ll be way unique, totally parent-approved—and, dare we say it, maybe even educational!

Have a scavenger hunt. A perf group date for your whole crew. Come up with a list of crazy things to search for, then pair off by couples to locate many of the items as possible in the time limit. Take a camera to document your finds. Then swap stories and see who found the most after noshing on some grub. Think The Amazing Race but way more doable.

Go mini-golfing. Looking for a first date idea? Mini-golf is the way to go. It’s silly and active, so you’ll natch have something to talk about if convo is slow. Want seconds? Make it a competition for the next go-around. Loser treats winner to ice cream. Too sweet!

What’s your favorite springtime date? Blog about it, babes.

MOD MOD MOD!!!!! ok... i need help. and a lot of it... bottom line... i'm a nervous whimp around guys i don't know. i mean, well, an example is a few months ago, i was skating with my cousin and we spotted this really really really cute guy. and she said he was checking me out too. i really wanted to talk to him, but i didn't know what to say.. ok thats an excuse... I WAS SCARED OUT OF MY MIND!!!! i ended up making her go ask what his name was and if he had a phone. i regreted it... so my question is... HOW CAN I GET OVER THIS!!! (and some tips on non-obvious flirting) thanks!!!!! Smile

Hey girly! It's totally normal to freak out and clam up around guys. But, you have to remember that they're just like us! They get nervous too! And sometimes, they're too scared to talk to us, so we have to make the first move. I'd just try to find common ground with guys. Joke around with them. Ask them questions, to get to know them and show you're interested. The more they talk to you, the more they should see how fabulous you are! And, the easier it will get for you to talk!

MOD MOD MOD!!! So I need some help...every time I text this guy (the one I like) it always goes like this: Him~ Hey. Me~ Hey what's up?. Him~ not much you. Me~ (something I'm doing). Him~ Oh cool. Me~ yeah. and then it ends and we don't say anything! I need some things to talk about because I'm pretty sure he's starting to think I'm boring or something sooo please help Smile

Hey girly girl! You should totally ask him questions to get him talking. As what he's doing, how his weekend went, or tell him something to make him laugh! By asking questions and engaging him in the convo, you'll show him that you're interested in getting to know him Smile

mod mod mod theres this guy i like and he likes me to. i know this because we make a lot of eye contact and he checks me out and flirts with me. but he wont ask me out and theres only a year of an age differece. p.s. im shy and quiet and i want to know what to do...

Hey chica, I guess it depends why he won't ask you out.  Of course, you could go ahead and ask him out yourself, but if you're shy I imagine that doesn't sound like the best option!  I think it would be great, though, if you took some initiative to move things forward.  You could invite him to hang out with you and your friends, or exchange numbers if you haven't done that yet.  Something simple like that will show him you're interested, and may give him the courage to go for it and ask you out if he was hestiating before.  xoxo

Hey girl, not at all! Think about it: he's only one year younger, not 10.

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD hi! So i still really like my ex. a few weeks ago my guy friend was telling me how he still likes me and asked me if id say yes if he asked me out again. i didnt know what to do and so i said no. 2 days later i hear about how he likes another girl who im good friends with, she asks me if she could date him and i said yes because i dont want to be teritorial Frown and now they are dating and i cant get over him and we act like we did when we dated except hes holding another girls hands. i know im being a jelous ex but i cant help it. should i just wait it out? they are going to different high schools next year and me and him will be at the same one, or should i just try my best to get over it? thank you so much Smile

Hey girlie -- since you passed on the opportunity, he's moved on  Therefore, your best betis to try your best to get over him (as you don't know what will happene next year). If this doesn't sound plausible, try talking to him about it, as well as your friend (if not to just get things off your chest).
