Can't ditch the itch

This is a little awkward. I know its normal for it to be itchy "down there," but lately it’s gone from itchy to swollen. I tried using Vagisil, but it hasn’t helped. Any suggestions?

First things first, girlie: Unless you’re itchy because you shave “down there” and the hair is growing back in, being itchy is not normal.

An itchy vagina is usually a sign of some sort of infection. While there are some over-the-counter treatments as well as testing kits, if Vagisil isn’t working for you, it’s time to visit a doctor. Heading to a gynecologist can be scary, but dealin’ with the anxiety and awkwardness is totally worth it to make sure everything’s right as rain down there.

Good luck, babe!
