Going to a friend's party when I don't like the guests

Check these out, too...

  • Help! My BFF can't stand my BF
  • My friend sulks if I do better in school than her. Help!
  • 3 times it's OK to tell your bestie's secret
  • Girl Code: Is it OK to date your BFF's crush?
  • My best gal is branching out...and I'm not OK with it
My friend is having a party and some people I don't like are going to be there. Should I skip the party, or go and ignore them? What if something goes wrong? What do I do?

If you have a few close friends going that you know you can hang out with and be comfortable around, then I say go for it!  Have your own fun and don’t let other people ruin your night.

There’s no reason you should have to interact with the people you don’t like if there are other girls and guys you can hang with. If you’re faced with confrontation, though, don’t sweat. Slap a friendly smile on your face and keep your words civil. Just ‘cause you don’t like each other doesn’t mean you can’t get along for one night, right?

Just in case, though, let’s say you do go to the party and something bad does happen. What now? Call Mom and Dad, an older sib or family member, or an older friend who can legally drive and ask for a ride home. There’s no shame in heading home early. If you need an excuse, tell your buds you’re really not feeling well. Head outside for a little fresh air and wait for your getaway car, OK, babe?

Good luck and have fun!

MOD MOD MOD
Me and my friend on GL are wanting to be facebook friends. Can we tell eachbother our last names? We really want to be facebook friends. Thank you!

Hey Girl!

I am so excited to hear you are making new friends on GL unfortunately, rules are rules and you can't share last names. Unlike facebook profiles where you can limit what people see on your page, these profiles are pretty public and we don't want random people finding you and friending you on facebook that you don't want. Sorry!

HI mod so i just tried hair removal cream for my bikini line. It worked fine.. i have a gymnastics competion right around the corner and my hair down there is long so even if i did do my bikini line some of it sticks out. I DON NOT WANT TO TAKE IT ALL OUT. Would putting a tiny bit of gel for it to stick together and not move around be fine?

MOD MOd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My bff for as long as I remeber is having a party and all her friends (we live a long way apart) are soo bossy and lame. We are 12-14 in age and instead of painting toes and prank phone calls we are pinnning a tail on the donkey and hide and seek with the lights on. I get bored and text my other friends all night but then my bff says I'm not being involded. And plus the other girls start to talk about (and I get physical) which causes the party to get really tense. how can I let my bff her party is lame??? Help please

Hey girlie! Hmm..this could be a touchy subject. I would lightly bring it up to her by talking about other parties you've been to and what you did at those. You could even ask to be the party planner and make a list of all your ideas. Texting your other friends is okay, but don't go over board because that can come off as rude. If you really don't like her other friends you could always ask to hang out one on one rather than at her parties. Hope this helps! Smile
