3 moves for yoga abs

Woo hoo! You can soo get those ultra-flat yogini abs without om-ing your way through an hour and a half class. We snagged yoga’s best gut busters. Start off with a few simple postures (check out our faves here) and then work on whittling your middle.
 
Touch-downs
Start on your back with your hands clasped behind your head. Bend your knees and lift your feet up, so your legs are bent at a 90-degree angle. Slowly straighten your right leg and touch your toe to the floor. Make sure to move slowly. Then slowly return to start. Repeat on the opposite side. Keep alternating, for 12 reps on each side.
 
Three part crunches
Start on your back with your hands clasped behind your head. Raise your legs up in the air, so your body forms a 90 degree angle. Lift your shoulders off the floor and then lift your butt off the floor. Hold that lifted position for two breaths. Lower back down to start. Repeat 10 times.
 
Knee to forehead 
Start in a downward-facing dog. Lift your right leg up to the sky. Bend your knee and bring it toward your forehead, while shifting your body into a plank position. Return to the downward dog with your leg in the air. Keep slowly repeating for 30 seconds to one minute. And then switch sides.

hey girly's, if people call you fat then dont feel bad about yourself! if it serioulsly worries you that much do something about it! eat healthy and right and get a yoga bod!

To the people who are wondering about the 3 part crunches, I think they mean keep the middle of your back on the ground. Make your body like a J!

uhh... sorry, but aren't those 3-part crunches impossible? You can't lift your legs, your butt, and then your shoulders and hold the position, because that wouuld be floating. Unless you put your full weight on your head, which I don't think you could do without having a trip to the hospital afterword. Please clear up this confusion, if there is any confusion. My back is curved a lot so everyone thinks I'm fat because my stomach sticks out in the front! Will this workout help my stomach to slim down? And how many times a week should I do it? Can I combine it with other workouts?




Hey girlie! Yup, this workout can help you slim down and be healthy and it's a good idea to combine it with other workouts. For the best results, you should try to combine resistance training exercises (like this one) and cardio (like running, riding a bike, or swimming) and you should try to make some time to work out as often as possible. Also, don't let people call you fat - be confident Smile
