After graduating from East High, Sharpay Evans decides it’s time to move out of her small town and into the big city. What she doesn’t know is how different New York is from the high school musicals she’s previously been in—especially when the spotlight turns from her to her cutie patootie dog, Boi.

This movie has it all: drama, fabulous songs (and a cute Austin Butler to boot). But thinking about the overall theme of a young gal moving to NYC for her dreams, we couldn’t help but think of a few other faves that follow the same idea. Which babe do you think did it best?

Sweet Home Alabama
Who doesn’t love this movie?! Reese Witherspoon’s character Melanie moves to the Big Apple from the farms of Alabama to become a fashion designer. Once she falls in love with the city, and the mayor’s son, she realizes she must go back to deal with her estranged hubby. Seeing the love Melanie still holds for her home makes us say “Awww” every single time.

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days   
A classic love story with a twist! We all know you have to do some tough things to get where you want to be. But is destroying a relationship with a man destined to be your husband going too far? Andie wants to move up in the publishing industry in NYC, and to do so, she must date a man while doing all of the wrong things women do to get dumped and spin it into an article in a li’l over a week.

Center Stage
Sure, there have been countless movies about dance. But this is our top pick. Twelve dancers are admitted to the American Ballet Academy and must prove they belong. It’s a story of smiles, tears and the ferociousness that is the dance world.

The Devil Wears Prada
With a dream of making it in New York City after college, Andy (Anne Hathaway) doesn’t realize what she’s gotten herself into. The fashion magazine industry is much more intense than expected. And to survive, Andy has to make some sacrifices in her personal life. After going through trials and tribulations with her boss, she finally decides to make a decision for herself…and we definitely think it was the right one!

Honestly, Of corse i do! I can't imagine my future not being famous. I'm not being stuck up, that's just how my life has always been. I want to act. I'm in most of the plays with my theater company. And, I just want to act for people. I've spent my whole life trying to make people happy, and acting is the one of the only things that makes ME happy. And I would do anything for the chance to have a happy life, Wouldn't everyone?
