True or false: Underwire bras cause cancer

 
My mom won't let me buy an underwire bra because she says they give you breast cancer. Is this true? I’m really sick of wearing wireless bras…

 

The notion that underwire bras give you breast cancer popped up in the ‘90s, and thankfully, it’s just a myth. The idea was that underwire trapped toxins in the breast tissue, which could cause cancer, according to Scientific American.

 

Thankfully, that theory has never been supported by any research. Doctors point to the fact that it’s easier to demonize innocent things like bras instead of focusing on the more likely factors, such as hormones.

Victoria's Secret has push up bikini tops. I just wish I had more to push up. Will anyone try to buy one or do you have one, is it worth buying?

I know there stuff is on the revealing side but there is just something about buying sexy looking sleepwear and bikinis. And I am so glad my dad is becoming more understanding.

alright this is great and all but I have a question.
If your sunburnt on your back and it hurts to wear a bra or you go tubing on the lake and you boob muscles hurt.......what do you do? sports bra? no bra? help!

 

Hey girlie! I would suggest wearing a sports bra -- it'll give you plenty of support but it's also comfy! Good luck!

MOD!!!!! So over the past few months, i've finally been able to lose weight. i've lost alot, (dont know how much, never looked at a scale) and so the band size for my bras that i had used for a year were much too big for me. i recently went bra shopping; when i first went i thought i would be a 34B rather than a 36B, but it turns out that while i did go down a band size, i went up a cup size to a 34C. so does this mean that weight has nothing to do with breast size?? just curious....

I got to hear guys talking about underwire bras and it was so hilarious. They couldnt understand why we would need wire put in a part of our underwear and how if it bent it would make our boobs look lopsided. Guys can be kind of ignorant at times, they have no idea about certain things.

My mom says underwires in bras causes scar tissue, which my doctor agreed with, but only if your bra doesn't fit properly. But on the other hand, bras without wire tend to not be as supportive, and if your boobs are flopping around it can cause scar tissue to form too.

Hey girly! I'm pretty sure that boobs are just fat. If you have a lump, and it's hard to the tough, I'd get it checked out by a doctor. Better safe than sorry!

I have heard that wire bras can be a problem if you get on an airplane but I am not totally sure about that. A lot of us wear them and need to wear them to help us look better.

Hey girlie -- you need to get an anti-lice treatment, such as Nix or Rid, as soon as possible and then de-lice your home and belongings (you should try Googling tips on the latter).

I have this kinda thin coat of hair on my back and neck. It bugs me because even though I have naturally tan skin, I have really dark hair, it's not too noticeable from a distance, but up close it's obvious and embarrassing. You can see it when I wear swimsuits, and some dresses and shirts. Can you give me some easy fixes for this?

I want to wear a bikini this summer, i'm not hout of shape or anything... but i have large breasts, and i'm worried that my breasts will fall out of the bikini top. my mother is taking me to a special store, where the bikinis are suited for large-chested women and girls, but i still can't help but worry. i am a pretty modest person when it comes to clothes, and this will be my first bikini experience... and i don't want to be the girl who has a boob issue at the pool.

so, summers coming. and i LOVE bikinis, and i found the cutest string bikini at abercrombie kids! i'm toned everywhere..except for my stomach. i've worn bikinis berfore, but i'm wondering if people would stare at a girl in a bikini with a chubby tummy. also, im 12 and 3 months old. im 5 foot 6 and 1/2 inches, i weigh 135 lbs, and i wear a 34b. i wear an xl and size 16 in abercrombie kids, is that fat. also, is my bra size big or small for my age and is my weight normal (i aslo have heavy bones, and muscular legs)

Hey girlie. Since you're going to a wedding, you should get a dress that is about knee length or a little above. To flaunt your waistline, get one that draws into the center and has a belt or bow. Hope that helps!

ok i had my phone taken away for like 6 months before and i just got it back like a month ago. i got a lg cosmos touch. my mama told me she would read through my messages to check that im not gettin into trouble and i said thats fine (an it is). i order my messages by contact and so it shows the conversation. well somehow, randomly, some of my sent messages get erased. so, my mom can jus see the person im texting's side of tha conversation. she got rlly mad like i was erasing my messages!! there was this one part in the convo where this guy asked 4 a pic an i said i dont have on any makeup on right now lol ill send one later. and he texted back wow. which made it seem lik i sent him a bad pic (cuz my text was erased). idk how to get my mama to believe me! i got my phone taken away AGAIN! its not fair. we went to the verizon store and they said they never had a prob lik this b4 so it rlly makes me look like i lyin 2 her. That is a bummer that your phone is acting like that. I don't have that phone, so I can't give you advice on what to do with the phone. But something similar to that has happened to my friends before. I would explain to your mom what happened and do your best to show to her that you can be trusted. I am sorry that you are having such a hard time with technology. If it happens again, I would let your mom know before she asks to see your messages.

there are these two guys that I'm kinda having problems with. Tim is really shy and small and in the grade below me, and he's liked me for months and asked me out about 4 times. I'm not interested in him at all! Ben is also in the grade below me, but he's really mature and hysterical and nice... and Tim's best friend. Tim had Ben ask me out for him a few times, and he's always trying to be the "wingman". I just got Ben's number, and we talk on fb too.. other than talking about Tim. I would LOVE to get to know Ben, he seems like such a good guy! The only problem is Tim getting in the way. Is it okay to flirt with Ben and hang out with him? or not? the other thing is they are both African American, and I'm not sure if my parents would be ok with me hanging out with either of them. any help?

 I would make sure  that you let Tim know that you appreciate him liking you, but you are not interested. Since Ben is his best friend, it might hurt his feelings if he sees you flirting and hanging out with Ben. I would give it some time and talk with Ben, but wait before you start flirting or hanging out with him. As long as these two guys are nice boys who treat you well and are respectful, I don't see why your parents should have a problem with you hanging out with them.
