The folks over at the Los Angeles Times analyzed a number of fitness studies and highlighted what makes a person likely to stay with their plan. Here’s the nitty-gritty:
1. Pick something you love.
Why torture yourself? As long as you’re staying active, you might as well select an activity you enjoy.

2. Exercise in the a.m.
Before you groan, people who workout early make like the Nike slogan: They just do it.

3. Find a friend.
Having a super-duper workout buddy makes sweating it out tons more fun. If you both need some  help staying active, sign up for a class together.
