Whether your weather is dull ‘n’ gray or gloriously
sunshine-y, there’s nothing stopping you from turning up the fun on the last
Saturday in April. Say goodbye to a crazy month in seriously sweet fashion.
Dance in the rain. If
the sun is still hidin’ behind a cloud, put on some clothes you don’t mind
getting soaked and turn Mother Nature’s shower into an impromptu party. Blast
some music from a stereo inside the house or the garage (leave a window, door
or garage door open if possible) and get the whole block boogying.
Revamp your wardrobe. Pull
everything out of your closet and spend your afternoon with your sibs or your
sistahs to create crazy-cool and totally chic new outfits you never would have
thought of by yourself. That belt with this top? Suh-weet!
Chalk it up! Go old
school with a big bucket of sidewalk chalk. Draw a four-square court or a
hopscotch grid and let the competition run wild, or start scribbling whatever
comes to mind. Draw your neighborhood, your school or a crazy group of creepy
monsters. Grab more ideas here.
Write right now! Today
is the last day of National Poetry Month. Grab a pen and your notebook and get those verses down, babe. Not a
writer? Dramatize an epic poem with your friends. Make it into a contest: The
first one to make somebody laugh wins!
Plant a butterfly garden. Check out our crafty tutorial and get creative! See if you can get permission to plant a garden at
school, near a local playground or in your neighborhood park. Make a party of
it and invite your classmates or your BFFs.
