Tired of the trash talk


 
One of my friends has been talking trash about everyone in our crew, including me. She’s nice to me face-to-face, but then she starts badmouthing me to our other friends when I’m not around. She clearly doesn’t like me. How do I get rid of her?

Dear Tired of It,
She clearly doesn’t like you? All that’s clear is she likes to gossip. And now the rest of you are talking about her behind her back, too. This behavior among groups of friends is normal, but mean-spirited gossip can be destructive. Instead of trying  to get rid of your friend, can you help her change her ways? Next time she wants to trash someone nice, say, “Nobody’s perfect, but I like her, so I don’t want to criticize her.” Kindness beats cruelty every time. And next time the girls want to dish, pick a celeb or dissect a character in a new movie or book. The world can be hard enough – friends should support friends.

I hate my friend. She thinks all the boys like her and that she's stylish. I think shes a rude cuz i heard her yell at her dad, demand for an ipad, an iphone and 100 bucks a week(and she got all of those).Her parents have no idea she had 7 boyfriends in 6th grade!What should i do to make her know i can't stand her?




Hey girl!

 If you're really having problems with this friend, then it's best to stop hanging out with her. It sounds like you don't agree with a lot of the things she does or says, so why keep somebody like that in your life? x0x0

MOD MOD MOD!
I have a bff for almost 3 years now. At the beginning of this school year, she got a good part in the school play, and I got a small part. I think that may be the cause, but I'm not sure. Ever since then, she has been mean to me, but I don't know if she realizes it or not. She calls me weird, annoying, and says that I talk to much. If I say one word, she'll say I talk way to much. Yet, when everyone tells her to stop talking, she'll ignore them. If I try to talk to her about it, she'll deny it, and if I get mad at her, she just goes, "whoa" in a mean way. I ask my friends if I can trade seats with them at lunch, but they won't let me, they all act as if they own the seats. (They literally go, "no, this is my seat".) None of my other friends really help, and I don't know where else to sit. What should I do?
Please help, I can't take this drama much longer.




hey girlie,

i don't know what may be the cause behind her meanness, but please don't let it bring you down.  If you've tried talking to her and she won't listen, then I would suggest making new friends.  I know it's hard, but just try to engage in new activities and get to know other people...and you'll be surprised at how well you will get along with some people!  If your other friend is a good friend, she'll come back to you on her own...so don't worry too much about it.  Have fun making new friends!

I met this girl at school. She has a locker next to me and she's in a couple of my classes and she was on track and cross country with me. Today she invited me over to her house and were going swimming at the country club by her house. I know her and she's really nice and funny and she's a great person, but we've only known eachother for a little while. I have a feeling it'll be awkward. What can I do to make it un awkward? Please help!

Hey Girl,

 

All you can do is be yourself. Obviously she likes you and wants to be your friend if she invited you to hang out, so keep that in mind! Discuss things that are occurring in school, your favorite movies, celebrities, classmates, whatever you'd talk about with your closer girlfriends. Be relaxed and it won't seem awkward in the end.

This story reminds me of my Bff. Well she isnt my Bff anymore. She would always be nice to me when we would hang out but then she would totally ignore me when one of our other friends came by. Then she would talk bad things about me and she would call me names behind my back to other friends and my other friends would tell me everything that she says about me. So now i am really mad at her and i am ignoring her and she doesnt even know that i know that she is talking behind my back. Is ignoring her the right thing to do?
