I am in a clique with my best friends. They are random and funny, but also goth and my opposites. I want to be friends with the girls was was tight with in first grade. How do I make new friends while keeping the old ones? No one likes my "freak" friends and I am also shy so I cannot just walk up to them and ask them to be my lab partner then bond over common things. Also, in my classes the girls always have other partners to work with. I love pop music, my friends love emo. I love shopping, my friends hate it. I love them, but I want to have some girl time with girls that have stuff in common with me. Any suggestions? Thanks.

MOD MOD MOD MOD!!! I have a friend who is seriously depressed. Last year I was in her friend circle but not that close. She was really depressed and was seriously considering killing herself. Our circle of friends told the school counselor but she just lied and said everything was OK! But she had the knife and pills under her bed! Our counselor believed it and just said she was over dramatic. This year she told us she was bi and its depressing her even more. My other friend and i were texting her the other night and she told us that she thinks her life is pointless and basically her entire personality is face she puts on. We told her we would get her help but she says that she wants to be strong enough to do it herself. I'm really worried about her. Her home life is horrible and her being bi really isn't helping. She pretends shes ok but i know its not. I want to get her help but I don't want her to be mad and I have a feeling she will just lie again. What should I do? HELP! Lauren C.
