The camp cutie likes my BFF, not me!


 
My best friend and I go to the same camp, and I like a guy who acts more interested in my BFF. She knows I like him, but she doesn’t seem to care about my feelings. How do I know when my friend has crossed the line?
 
Dear Confused at Camp,
A girl should never hit on her best friend’s boyfriend or go for a BFF’s ex right after a breakup. But when it comes to crushes, the lines are less clear. Are you truly upset with your friend—or are you upset with him for not noticing you or maybe even with yourself for feeling jealous? Think about it—would it really make sense for your friend to ignore a guy she seems to be clicking with just because you like him, too? Even if she were to completely shun him, it won’t ensure that you and he will ever get together.
 
My advice is to reach out to other campers. Meanwhile, you could admit to your friend that you’re envious but that you wish her luck. Camp will end—don’t let the friendship.

MOD MOD MOD! I talk WAY too much about my crush around my BFF. She says it's fine, but I know it really annoys her. I try not to, but it just ends up slipping out and I can't help it, I have to talk about it to someone and she's the only one that knows I like him and can feel comfortable on telling. How can I not get her so irritated yet still get my feelings out about him? I have a diary but it doesn't help any. How can I just stop talking about him? Thanks!




Hey girl!

    Sometimes you just have to get those feelings out, and your BFF understands that. Try setting 15 minutes aside for talking about your crush, and after that time is up, no more talking about him for the rest of the time you're together! Also, it's really nice that your BFF lets you vent to her, so be sure you give her the same respect and listen to her talk about her crushes, too. x0x0

MOD!!
I like this guy but he (of corse) likes my bff. She doesn't know o like him and if I tell her she'll laugh. I don't think she likes him back. I am also kida tired of her because EVERY boy likes her and she complains to me about it. Anyway, the guy I like is always trying to be around her and I'm just there in the background feeling jelous. How can I get him to notice me!!!!!




Be his friend. Talk to him. Get to know him. The girls who become their friends and know them well often surprise them in the end and win their attention. Good luck! xoxo kerra

Is it true that your dreams are what you subconsciously want? Because I keep having a dream about the boy next door (who I've known for 6 years) and I going on these random adventures.

Hey girly,
It might be a better idea to get the number from the guy himself. To start a conversation, there is nothing wrong with the simple "Hey what's up?" You could also ask a question as an excuse as to why you are texting him in the first place.
