im DEFFENETLY freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!! okay so here it goes, my hair used to be medium - dark brown but before school starts, i decided i wanted , very fine,small , honey colourd highlights through it.BAD IDEA!!!!!!!! my grandmother did it for me at home cause it was gonna cost 95$ at the salon. But she COMPLETLY RUINED my hair!!!! im SO upset now cause the bleach came out REALLY bleach blond and to make it worse, she put it on too much of my hair so now the whole top of my head is BLEACH BLOND!!!!!! i HATE it!!!! ill put it this way, instead of my hair being my natural medium-dark brown, it looks like im a dirty blond color except the blond in it is SUPER bleachy blond!!!!!!!!!! Yikes! Sounds like a major hair nightmare. The best way to fix this, honestly, is to go get it professionally taken care of. I know it may be pricey, but it's worth it to do damage control. The stylists will know what they are doing and can get your hair back to normal. Good luck!

MOD i put sun in on my hair and i have medium brown hair and i was unsmart and put it on the top of my head too so the top of my hair is a light brownish reddish so my hairs staring to grow out so it looks like i dyed it and my roots look bad and i really didnt dye it. My mom said i might be able to get a hair color kit thing from like target or walmart that is closest to my hair color. Is that a bad idea or is there anything else that i can do? ThanksSmile

 

 

Hey girl. Sun in bleaches out your hair, so coloring is a good idea. Have someone help you dye your hair. I would suggest going to a stylist. It sounds like it might be a lil difficult to do yourself.

MOD MOD MOD. i need like a new hair style. My hair is a little longer than my shoulders. with side bangs. but its straight as straight can get and REALLY had to curl. I have looked on youtube for hair tutorials and most of them are like with a curling iron. i think those are really cute but my hair wont let me curl. and i pull my bangs back in the middle, braid them, twist them to the side, and pull them to the side but i want something different. Any ideas? thank you so much in advance. Smile

 

Hey chica, some simple changes you could try are hair accesories, like sparkly clips or headbands, and switching up your part (like, to the side if you usually keep it in the middle).  You might also consider asking the person who cuts your hair if they can show ya how to curl it.  They might know the best way to do it for your hair type!

MOD HELP PLEASE
i have slightly below shoulder length hair (about 1/2 inch above shoulder) and have lots of layers and thick side bangs. GL almost never posts any hairstyles that i can actually make with my hair. could you please put more things in this website and in your magazine too that people with short hair can do? also do you have any cute ideas of things that i can do with my hair? i have trouble thinking up things to do sometimes (beside stuff like using clips) i put it in a ponytail sometimes but thats about it... please help! thanks.

Thanks for the suggestion! We'll definitely take it into consideration when writing our future articles. As for mixing up your look, don't underestimate the power of accessories. Clips are great, but you can also try headbands and headscarves to dress things up! Use a pomade on the ends of your hair to give yourself a more piecey, edgy style. Or try giving yourself a braid headband or a couple skinny braids to frame your face for total boho chic Smile

Curling it with an iron might work, but try curling one small piece of your hair first to see if that will work/if that looks good. Pulling your hair into a loose bun is a really pretty look too, and is so easy to do. x0x0

Mod: My hair is naturally pretty wavy, but I still sometimes put in curlers after I take a shower or use a curling iron. The curls stay nice and frizz-free for an hour or so, but then it just turns to frizz. My mom doesn't really like paying a lot for hair products, so do you have any suggestions to keep my hair frizz-free after I curl it?




Hey girl, one word: hairspray. The best way to keep curls in is to spray some hair spray after you style your hair to keep it in place. That way it won't go frizzy.

With hair, i would just go with a cute ponytail, maybe with briads along the sides. As for makeup, go with a look that you love that really expresses your style, whether it be glittery or natural or anything else.

I can only straighten my hair and if I don't blow dry my hair, it takes about 45 minutes to striaghten my hair and if my hair is blown dry it still takes about 35 minutes,because I have to do it in layers. I really hate having to straghiten my hair every day!! I want to get it chemically straghtened,but I know it cost a lot of money. What can I do to make my hair straight without straightening it? Hey girl! I remember my first trip to Sephora! I still love it there! That's so exciting! I would suggest a light/ medium pink blush, that will really flatter your skin tone and it looks amazing with brown hair. To make your eyes look bigger there are several things you can do. When applying eyeliner to your upper lid bring the line out slightly longer on the outer part, like a little tail. Don't apply eyeliner all the way around your bottom lash, just the outer half, 2/3 of the lid. You can also add a little white at the inside corner of your eye, where it meets your nose, but don't add too much or you'll look funny. Also mascara helps a lot! Really try to lengthen your lashes. Eye shadow is totally up to you, I usually change it with what I'm wearing. Light eyes and dramatic lips are really in right now. A cream colored shadow on your lid with a light, shimmery gold in your crease would look fab for night time! A light brown lid with medium brown shadow in the crease of your eye is great for all day long. With your skin tone and eye color I think a bright pink lip gloss would be perfect! For a more natural look, just find a coral color or something closer to the color of your lips that will accentuate them nicely. Nail polish is so versatile! You can really go with any color, it just depends on what you like. Coral colors can make you look tanner, if that's what you're going for. My personal faves right now are "Cajun Shrimp" by OPI, "Mod Square" by Essie, and "Cherry Blossom" by OPI. Good luck and have fun!

Hey girlie! When I was your age my mom made sure that I was never afraid to ask her anything. I'd be willing to bet that your mom is the same way, even if she's never told you. When I always had to talk to my mom about rough stuff I would wait until she went to bed, then climb in with her and we would talk. It was great bonding time. I recommend finding a time when it's just you and your mom. Just remember that every girl learns how to shave sometime. Your mom did once.  Just relax and remember that you're not the first one.  Good luck! I hope this helps!

Look for a cute headband--perhaps one with sequins or bold flowers. That way you can keep your bangs out of your face until they're long enough to even out. If they're long enough, you could bobby pin them off to the side, or push them back into a poof then pull your hair into a ponytail or bun.

Unfortunately no, there isn't anything proven to get your hair to grow more quickly. Just keep eating a well-balanced diet with plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, and treat it well with limited straightener/blow dryer use. Use a conditioner to make it strong and avoid using too many hair ties, which can cause breakage. The rest is just being patient!

ok, so today i got a huge shock. i found out from my sister that my ex-crush's brother had told her that he actually liked me last year. but he pretended not to for who knows what reason...

Hi! I have extraordinarily thick medium/long hair, so do you know what kind of comb I should use on wet hair? Or when I should use wide toothed as opposed to the closer togeher kind? Haha thanks very much Smile

Um this is gonna sound stupid but I want to start dating. I'm 12 and I think I should be able to date. The problem is my dad. He is so worried about me and my twin sis I want to ask him if it's okay for me to date but I' afraid he'll say no. Can you give me advice how to convince him?
