Father’s Day Coupons Dad’s
car is so grimy that you wrote “I need a wash” in the dust on the
back window. He’s been complaining about having to mow the lawn for
a week (but hasn’t done it yet). You know that he loves
bacon. A perfect gift, at no cost to you, is a book of coupons. Print
out some faux coupons saying “Free Car Wash”, “100-percent of
lawn mowing,” and “This coupon entitles you to one breakfast in
bed”.
Photo Bookmarks Here’s Martha
Stewart’s take on the classic photo frame Father’s Day gift: a
photo bookmark. Just cut a 2-inch wide piece of ribbon that’s three
inches longer than twice the height of a book and snip a point at
each end to prevent fraying. Then, sew a 1 ½-inch by 2-inch
photograph onto the ribbon by hand-stitching each corner. Tuck it
into a new book he’s dying to read.
Father-Daughter Scrapbook Your
dad loves spending time with you, so why not make a photo and
memorabilia montage of all the good times you guys have had together?
You can get a new scrapbook at any crafts store. Then, all you need
to do is collect pictures of you and Dad on family vacations, tickets
to the baseball game he took you to and notes that tell him just how
much you love him.
Soup Can Pen Holder This craft
will require some supplies. You’ll need an empty soup can, some
felt, 3-D paint, scissors and glue. Start by cutting a piece of felt
that fits around the entire cylinder of the soup can. Then, glue the
felt onto the can. Write a message like “World’s Best Dad” onto
the felt using the 3-D paint. Get creative with it by personalizing
for your dad. Does he like football? Use green felt and paint on some
yard lines.
Throw a Dad’s Day Barbecue Use
your awesome planning skills to get together all Dad’s friends and
family for a barbecue at your pad. Then crank up the grill and get
started on those hotdogs and hamburgers. Yum!
