True or false: Your boobs don't even out til you're 18


 
I’m 10 years old and just beginning to enter puberty. One of my boobs is bigger than the other one, and I heard they don't even out ‘til you're 18. What should I do?!


You might wanna check your sources, babe, ‘cause this “fact” is major fiction! While the size of your breasts may change over the course of your life, depending upon your maturity, hormone levels, health and other factors, the truth is that you might always have one breast that’s larger than the other. That being said, they could totally even out by the time you're 12.


There’s no telling what your boobs will look like in two months, much less eight years. Chatting up your mom, sisters, female cousins and aunts might give you some insight into your family’s growth patterns, but the fam can’t tell ya what you’ll definitely look like in the future.


For now, it’s time to learn to love what ya have and stop stressing about what you can’t control. If the difference in sizes is, well, a full bra size, then size-up to fit the bigger breast. And remember: No one is gonna notice except for you, so relax!

I am only 10 but my boobs just started growing I talked to my mom but I didn't want to ask her this if ur boobs are itchy and they hurt when I touch them a d the nipple area is hard with a little hair on nipple is that normal!




Hey girl,

Totally normal! Your boobs can absolutely get sore or tender sometimes, usually just before your period. Hairs around the area are normal as well, and can be removed if they really bother you. As for itchy boobs, try to wear cotton shirts and moisturize your chest skin to avoid itchiness. And take off your bra when you get home so they get some time to breathe! Smile

When I was tenn... My boobs were as big as my big sis's own! I grow so fast! I even started menstruating eaarly! Is that going to affect me in any way when I grow older? I am sixteen now... Nothing is going to wrong except the fact that my boobs are big! Thanks!




Hey girlie,

No worries. Sometimes it seems like our growth spurts will never stop and we'll just keep growing and growing, outta control! But the tween/teenage years are just the prime time for our growth, both height-wise and developmentally (including stuff like your boobs and maturity). By the time most girls are 21, or even 18 years old in some cases, they've stopped growing. So just hang in there for now - and if you ever have questions/concerns about this kind of thing, you can talk to your doc to reassure you <3

Hey girl,

It really just depends on when you decide you want to switch. If you feel like the training bras aren't giving you as much support as you want, then it's probably time to switch out of them.  And most likely, people won't notice unless you start wearing a padded bra, but even then it probably won't be too noticeable! x0x0

mod mod mod Im always tired and not sure why. I started giving myself 2 extra hours a sleep every night but i still couldn't/can't stop taking naps during the day. When im at school im usually fine but im always exhausted when i get home and after naps i get really sluggish almost even more tired and very cranky what should i do? i eat healthy for breakfast and lunch.

Today we had a sub in tech class, so instead of doing our normal class, we watched Bill Nye the Science Guy. Well, afterwards we had to write two things we learned, and there was an extra sheet of paper. So on it, two of my friends and I wrote "I love Mr. Turner" (that's the real teacher's name not the sub) and a bunch of hearts. Then we signed it with a boy's name in our class. But the worst part is one of my friends actually turned it in!!!! And now I am scared that we are going to get in trouble!!! What should I say if he mentions it?!!

I wish I had boobs to even see that one might be bigger Smile But really, no two parts of our body are exactly the same, not our hands, our eyes and not our boobs but sometimes it is more noticeable. Its hard to say if yours will even out, chances are they will. We went over this in class last year about the different size body parts.

Ask your parents why they're opposed to you doing cheerleading and explain why you're passionate about it. Don't get frustrated or angry. I'm sure they'll understand if they know the reasons why you want to be a cheerleader.

Girl, I'm 11 and I already have boobs and if i were you i wouldn't worry until you start your period. you might be 14 until you hit all of puberty. I just started the whole bit because I'm a lot taller than every one my age. "JUST DANCE", do you know that song? well ,if you learn to have fun, have alot of freinds, youll be just fine.Smile
