Attention, ladies! We’ve found the recipe for the perfect summer flick: Funnyman Jim Carrey, six adorable penguins, a film based off of a book you read when you were little and 15-year-old rising star and style icon Madeline Carroll!

Mr. Popper’s Penguins, which hits theaters today, combines all of these elements and then some. Madeline plays Mr. Popper’s daughter, Janie, who isn’t exactly close to her dad. But that’s all about to change when a special delivery of penguins pops in. Our gift to you? Scene-stealing styling tips from Madeline herself. We’ve spotted her on the red carpet a lot lately, so we chatted her up and her spill her biggest secrets.

We’ve noticed you rocking some serious style on the red carpet quite a few times recently. What is your favorite red carpet outfit that you’ve worn so far?
“This little pink dress that I wore it to the AARP awards. It was tight at the top but then it poofed out a lot. It reminded me of cotton candy.”

What are your go-to summer accessories?
“I like flip-flops and gladiator sandals because you can match them with so many different things—dresses, shorts.”

What are the beauty essentials that you always have with you on the red carpet?
“Lip gloss. I think every girl needs lip gloss. It makes you look so nice. I also love BADgal Lash by Benefit. It’s a really good mascara.”

It’s beach season! What’s your biggest bikini confidence tip?
“Make sure you have the right size bikini because if it’s a little too big and it comes off, that’s not good. Also, if you like somebody that you’re with and you’re not confident being in a swimsuit, just try to act yourself because, face it, if a guy only likes a girl for what she looks like in a swimsuit, you shouldn’t really like that guy.”

MOD MOD MOD
i have a couple things 1)im not sure what to get my friend for her birthday shes really outgoing and likes to ride horses and camp and stuff her party is this weekend! 2) what are some cute things i can wear to summer camp other than tshirts and shorts my camp has a sorta strict dress code (its a christian camp so fingertip rule, no cleavage, one peices bathing suits, and no spagetti straps) i want the clothes to be stylish and functional. 3) alsohow do i talk to my mom about making youtube channel? i want to sing and play guitar on it thanks!!

Hey girl!  There are so many things you can do for your friends birthday! You can decorate a picture frame with a picture of the two of you in it, or of a group picture. Everyone loves personalized gifts! They're so thoughtful! Or you can get her a charm bracelet with a horse on it, and maybe one other charm that says friends or something cute. Or go poster shopping before the party and see if you can find some cute wall art for her! That's pretty tough... I don't know what kind of camp it is or if dresses are out of the question, but there are plenty of cute sundresses that have more than just spagetti straps. Shorts, bermuda shorts, are all totally fine. If this isn't an outdoorsy camp then you can wear anything! You can wear cute tops, simple shirts, anything! I mean a polo or a v-neck is way more fashionable than a school spirit workout t-shirt. And crop tops are so in this summer! A crop top with jean shorts is the perfect summer outfit, especially for a chill day at camp. If you're going to be hiking though, I wouldn't worry so much about fashion, more like not ruining a cute top. If you're running around all day I would stick to wearing t-shirts and workout shirts.  Have fun!

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD URGENT
ok so i have had a fever and sore throat on wednesday, (6/15) the next day i had a slight fever and sore throat. Today, i have a really sore throat, like yesterday. i can talk like normal, it just hurts really bad to swallow. my throat is red and i dont have a fever today. i looked it up and i have all of the symptoms of strep throat, which i have never had. my mom said she wont take me to the doctor unless i have a fever today. i heard if you leave strep throat for to long, it can be dangerous. i have begged her, but she just yelled at me. i really feel like i need to. i have asked nicely.i also have a headache, bodyache, and slight stomach pain. im sorry this was soooo long! thanks, PLEASE ANSWER Smile

Hey girl! It's true that if you leave strep for too long it could be dangerous. Step is really painful. It will hurt to swallow. Even eating yogurt will hurt. If your's is not that bad you probably don't have strep. If it is that bad your tonsils will be very swollen. You can do a self test by touching your glands. Press under your jaw line and and against your neck, like where you would take your pulse, but use at least three fingers to press down there. Normally you would feel nothing, but if you have strep you will know because it will be sore and you'll feel the swelling. You should have someone look down your throat with a flashlight, you tonsils will be red and swollen if you have strep. If you're still sore tomorrow you really should see a doctor, maybe just call your doctor yourself, but if you're mom is already angry that may not be the best idea.  Your mom may also be right, this could just be the summer flu. Try to relax and listen to your mom. She'll know if you need to go to the doctor. Good luck girlie!
