Make it a movie night! 6 fab flick ideas

Capture some cinema magic with your favorite movies…and your chicas, of course! It’s all part of our 100-plus summer fun marathon. It’s time to wave boredom buh-bye, ‘cause this summer is gonna be the best one yet!

Make your own movie trivia game to play with family and friends. We’re feeling a Harry Potter challenge coming on…

Have a Disney Movie night and watch your old faves. Dibs on Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast and Mulan! Try giving your night a theme, like Disney Princesses, wacky villains or best karaoke songs.

Watch scary movies with your pals. Giggle over old-school special effects or scream your heads off when the bad guy is finally revealed. Eek! CLICK HERE for our favorite flicks.

Read a book then watch its corresponding movie to see how they are different. This activity is fun and can be helpful to you later on, especially if you have to write a compare and contrast essay for school this fall. Check out our motion picture movie club for ideas.

Film a movie or TV series with your girlfriends to try your hand at acting, writing and directing. For some SNL-style laughs, try cutting episodes of your fave show or flick down to 5 minutes. Talk about a highlight reel!

Go to the movies on a rainy day. Smuggle in some dollar store candy and enjoy the newest chick flick (action movie or thriller). Make it a tradition. You could so be the Stormy Saturday Sistahs, or, you know, something cooler.
