One of my nipples is huge


 
This is so embarrassing! One of my nipples is medium sized, but the other one is HUGE! It's practically the size of my whole boob. Is this normal?

Boobs! It seems that all girls are worried that theirs are not quite normal, but the truth is that most need not worry. Bodies are never symmetrical- from our feet to our eyes!

First off, I’m assuming that what you are referring is the areola. The nipple is the tiny part that sticks out and the areola is the colored part surrounding it. Areolas can range in diameter from barely there to the size of the actual breast—there is no normal!

The only way to know for sure if there is a problem is to see a doc. There’s one important question to ask yourself: Has one areola always been significantly larger or has there been a recent, dramatic change in size? Usually it is genetic if your areolas have always been different sizes and that means that there is nothing to worry about. If this has been a recent change, though, it’s a good idea to head to your physician’s office for a check-up, just in case.

Hey girl, nope, I wouldn't worry. They come when they come -- it has nothing to do with when other people in your fam got theirs. As for prep, just have pads on you to be ready. There's nothing more than that necessary.

Hey girl,

Sore nipples can just be a symptom of having your period. So, if it lasts during your period, then that's normal. But if they keep hurting, you should definitely go see your doctor just to make sure everything's OK. x0x0

We are all different!

Our bodies are awesome, and being different isnt always a bad thing. Like skinny models always being portrayed as good and everyone else not. There are a lot of sites about body image, some with even galleries showing how our boobs and other body parts are different from each others.....some of the funniest sites are the ones that deal with how guys 'down there' areas look and their differences. But I think once you see how other people look, we arent that worried about how we look.

Hey babe! It's totally normal and natural to wear only a bra and undies when you're alone, don't feel ashamed. It's awesome to not have to wear clothes. But try not to steal your mom's thongs anymore. Just ask her if she can buy you some too. And if she asks why just tell her that you think they would be more comfortable and you don't want panty lines while wearing jeans. It's totally normal to wear thongs, don't be afraid to ask your mom about them! xoxo

okay, so this is really awkward, but here goes...I just noticed recently that my nipples have gotten kind of pointy. They look like they look when it's cold, but it's not cold! Also, they show through my leotard for dance and my bathing suit for swimming laps. It makes me feel self conscious. Is this normal? And, can I fix this? Thanks so much!!!!

im 14, and in a few days my friend is having a pool party. thing is, they're all going to be wearing bikinis, but none of them are as ample chested as i am! im 34D! and quite often they point out my boobs and i feel really concious about it. so im looking for a bikini which gives me support, but isnt revealing at all, is there any styles you would recommend? xxxx




Hey girl,

No need to be self-conscious at all! I'd suggest a bikini with thick straps that tie around your neck and your back, so that you can adjust it to be just how you like.  Also, they do make bathing suits with underwire, so that is a great way to get support. A bandeau that comes with a strap to wear around your neck is also good. String bikinis tend to be a little more difficult to wear if you have bigger boobs because they can be revealing and have less support, so stay away from them.  Have fun! x0x0

I'm 13 and I'm a 32C. Whenever I were low cut shirts or even regular shirts, my boobs either look small or I look flatchested. Is there any reason why that happens?

Do your bras fit well? Try going to a department store or lingerie store like Victoria's Secret to get professionally measured! That way, you'll know you aren't holding the girls back Smile But remember that it could just be a clothes illusion making your boobs look small - it could be the cut of the shirt, the fabric, or a tighter fit. Baby doll tops and bras that boost up a lil bit help to make them look larger, if that's what you're going for!

Our nipples and aeriolas are just like our boobs, they are all shapes and sizes. One of my friends is very concerned about her boobs because she says she has puffy and pointy nipples but she is probably just comparing herself to what she thinks is average looking. I have small boobs with small nipples, I think we feel this way about our bodies until we get older and become comfortable with seeing body parts.

MOD MOD MOD I'm 14 yrs old and I wear a 34C bra. I've been that size for about 2 years. I haven't really changed much since then, except I grew a few inches. Recently, I was changing in a changing room with my mom and she said that my boobs were growing, but she said I shouldn't change bra sizes. My boobs look like they've grown up not out. I asked my mom and she said that since I've had my period for almost 4 yrs instead of them growing bigger, I'm just filling out. Is that whats going on? Also' when I was in the shower last night I noticed these small white dots on my nipples. They looked like pimples right beneth the surface, so I popped them. The popped like a blackhead. The thing is that they didn't go away or look like they changed. Should I have popped them? Can't I still pop them??

If you want to figure out which bra size is right for you, go get measured by someone at a bra store. That will help you figure out which size is best for your body. As for those bumps under your boobs, I would get those checked by a doctor. He will be able to help you find out what's going on.

ModModModModModModMod So I have a problem with my legs, they break out all the time! It's really embarassing and it looks like I have a rash or something. I have tried everything, shaving with shaving cream, hair removal cream, shaving with soap. None of it works! My mom won't let me wax but I want my legs to clear up! What should I do?

Hey girly,
Trying all these things won't help with breakouts because they all have to do with shaving. Try washing your legs with an antibacterial soap or a special cleanser that targets breakouts. Good Luck!

I am on my period and I don't feel good at all! I am cranky, have a lot of cramps and bloated and all I feel like doing is sleeping! I slept until 11 this morning until my mom told me I needed to get up and eat! I also have a huge party to go to tomorrow night, sunday, and on monday I'm going to 2 parades, 2 cookouts, and fireworks! I am totally freaked out cuz I don't feel like doing anything! What do I do?




Hey babe! Those are totally normal symptoms. Ask your mom if you can take ibuprofin (that will help with the cramps) or Midol (that will help with everything). Just try to get through the weekend, I know it sucks. xoxo

So this is kinda weird, but whenever I wear a tampon while swimming, it ends up leaking within 30 minutes. When i wear the same size tampon when i'm not swimming, it can last me 2-3 hours!! Why does this happen? how can i prevent it??

i got bumped up a bra size last week and when i wore one of my new bras for the first time, the was discharge in it about twenty minutes later. This happened the next time i wore that bra, too, a couple days later. It didn't happen in the other two bras the this bra has a different material than my old ones on the inside. i did some research and it said this could be happening because of chafing by the bra. sometimes this isn't the case, though, so should i go see a doctor about it anyway?
