It’s all about the last-chance workout, ladies. Yep, you can get buff before tomorrow’s beachy getaway. Here’s how.

Stretch for better posture
“Yoga can improve your posture. Standing up straight makes you look great,” says New York City-based personal trainer Shannon Sodano. She suggests warming up and then trying a few camel and bridge poses. New yoginis can head to girlslife.com for how-tos.

Get up and go…for a run!
Dallas-based trainer Steve Hess says you should start the day with cardio. Why? “People who work out in the a.m. tend to stick to their routine and make healthier choices throughout the day,”  he swears. So get a jump-start!

Eat right trick: Bust bloat
“You should eat probiotics for the good bacteria,” advises Alina Zhukovskaya, a health coach in Miami. “It will decrease bloating and you’ll feel more energetic.” Try kefir, which can be found in the dairy aisle of the grocery store.

i am overweight and have a fat tummy. :p
i weigh 125 pounds and am 5'0 tall. i tried strength training and cardio but i gained more weight. my mom says its in muscle. is that true and if so am i on the right track?

Im 13 and most of my friends are skinnier than me and wear bikinis. Im very self critical of myself and my body. I feel like im fat (but i weigh about 120 lbs and im 5'2) and i want to lose weight but i make excuses for myself to not work out. Im at the point where im thinking about giving up bikinis and going to tankinis-which isnt a bad thing but i dot want people to wonder why i just switched. Im traveling alot this summer so i feel like if i did work out then it wont do much by the time i go to the beach. If i just dont eat as much will that help me? Can you give me advice on what to do with myself please? Im too embarassed to tell anyone about it so i feel like this is my only option. Thanks!




Hey babe, first of all, no one is gonna notice if you start wearing more tankinis. If that makes you feel more comfortable, then go for it. But if you wanna feel better about how you look (although I'm sure you look fine already) try getting into a morning routine of some sit-ups and push-ups. You can do those anywhere, even when you're traveling, and they'll show results if you keep up with them. And don't just stop eating as much. Instead, try to eat more fruits and veggies, and skip desserts and things that have lots of bread. Good luck!

Okay I'm 13 and I'm 5'6 and I weigh 124lb. More than all my friends, am I over weight? If so how can I loose weight fast so I can go swimming soon that's super fun so I don't get bored and quit? I enjoy volleyball and dancing and every once in a while I go swimming or running. I also have a snacking problem what's the best way to stop it? Thanks sorry for the overload!

 

Hey Girl!

You're definitely not over weight. 124 is a healthy weight for someone who is 5'6. If you're friends weight less, it may be because they're shorter than you. You had your growth spurt pretty early. If you're looking to get fit this summer, swimming is totally the way to go. It works all your muscles. As for snacking, skip the chips and cookies. Stick to trail mix and fruit. It will keep you full.

MOD!!!! MOD!!!!!!! MOD!!!!!!!! I've noticed that when I drink water instead of juices I lose weight. Is it a coincidence or not?

 

Hey girly, research has shown that those who drink 2 glasses of water for up to 20-30min a day before meals typically lose more weight than those who don't. Also, people who drink water instead of other beverages usually take in less calories. So to answer your question, it may not be a coincidence if these statements pertain to you.

Does water help u loose fat in ur core area and loose weight? and also... Does it keep u full? Please help I'm really confused!!!




No food or drink causes you to lose fat in a particular area. Water is great for your skin, hair, nails and overall body--it's amazing for helping you stay healthy Smile
