It’s all about the last-chance workout, ladies. Yep, you can get buff before tomorrow’s beachy getaway. Here’s how.

Stretch for better posture
“Yoga can improve your posture. Standing up straight makes you look great,” says New York City-based personal trainer Shannon Sodano. She suggests warming up and then trying a few camel and bridge poses. New yoginis can head to girlslife.com for how-tos.

Get up and go…for a run!
Dallas-based trainer Steve Hess says you should start the day with cardio. Why? “People who work out in the a.m. tend to stick to their routine and make healthier choices throughout the day,”  he swears. So get a jump-start!

Eat right trick: Bust bloat
“You should eat probiotics for the good bacteria,” advises Alina Zhukovskaya, a health coach in Miami. “It will decrease bloating and you’ll feel more energetic.” Try kefir, which can be found in the dairy aisle of the grocery store.

I am 10 years old and I way over 140 lbs. My sis says I look pregnaet ,and I am trying to lose weight before school starts. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm 12 yrs old, 4'10'' and I weigh 112 llbs. I feel really heavy, but everyone says I'm not! I want to lose at least 15 llbs. I'm going to a pool party with my family on Saturday but i've never met HALF of them, so i wanna look good for my first impression! Are there any ways that i can lose at LEAST 5-10 llbs in 5 days??? Thanks sooooo much for your help! I love the magazine! PS: Do you think i'm overweight? I do!!! Frown

Hey girly,
You don't need to loose any weight. Your size is perfectly healthy for your height. As for loosing weight, unfortunately, it can't be done that fast. The fastest, healthy number of pounds that someone can loose is about 1-3 pounds a week. Good Luck though!

I'm 5' 8" and 130lbs and I want to lose some weight and gain some muscle. The only problem is I get so bored working out that I never stick with it. I'm a dancer and I'm thinking about trying Zumba fitness because I can dance for hours without stopping. Is it effective? Thanks for your imput! <3

im really uncomfortable with my thighs. theres a pool party on the 12th and i want to get in better shape for that or at least boost my confidence a little. what are some good exercises to lose thigh fat and tone muscles? do squats work? ive recently gone through a big weight gain and im really uncomfortable. please help. thanks!!!

 

Hey babe! Squats are a great  idea! You can also try step aerobics, it's so much fun! You should definitely also run a few day every week. That will help a lot. Good luck!
