Dear Nervous,
That’s understandable. But you’ve made friends before and you’ll do it again. Say “hi,” smile, remember name, don’t talk too much about how great your old friends are and sign up for after-school activities—theater, newspaper, sports. Working with others on projects or in teams makes for easier bud-bonding opportunities. And in your attempt to be social, don’t let your schoolwork slip. Talk to teachers if you feel lost or if you’re at a different level than the rest of your class.

I have lived in Ohio for a little over a year now. Last summer my 'rents gave me a choice if i wanted to go back to Catholic School again for one more year i did because i knew my friends would be heartbroken if i just suddenly didn't come back. So this year i am going to public school i am afraid that i will be in shock. People are telling me don't worry about it you will be fine. but that only makes me worry more and i hate worrying.
