Spa-tacular slumber party

Lookin’ for a dose of Zen before school gets ya crazy? Invite your sistahs over for some seriously relaxing spa rituals you can totally DIY. A trip to the store for supplies and a phone call to your friends is all you need for this low-key sleepover. Talk about sweet!

Face masks

Sure, you could grab an already-made clay mask for a big-box store in your area. But we love the idea of using fresh, farmers’ market ingredients to rejuvenate our faces. Grab a pile of avocados and cut them into small pieces. Then place them into a bowl and mash until smooth. Spread it over your faces, put slices of cucumber over your eyes, and let the goodness of Mother Nature replenish your skin with essential nutrients.

Pretty pedis

Just ‘cause summer’s almost over doesn’t mean you’re gonna lose your right to bear beautiful toes. We’re planning to don sandals ‘til our tootsies can’t take it anymore, and for that, we need gorge feet. CLICK HERE for our 5-step guide to the perfect pedi. The hardest thing? Picking a polish shade!

Take-home treasures

While you let your nails dry, why not whip up a few goodies for your girls to take home? For a dry skin-removing sugar scrub, combine equal parts white and brown sugar with enough olive oil to make it moist. Mix well and place in jars to take home. For super relaxing bath salts, CLICK HERE for our tried-‘n’-true recipe.

Finger food

Instead of having a sit-down dinner or a junk food bonanza, try preparing a pile of healthy finger foods for your guests to nibble on at their leisure. Veggie-packed finger sandwiches, raw produce with dips and hummus, and trail mix are our number-one picks. Sparkling fruit juices, teas and lemonade served in delicate glasses are chic sips.

Movie mayhem

When you’re ready to settle in for the night, slip into your sleeping bags and pop in a movie or two. We’re loving over-the-top vacays, like Selena’s latest big-screen hit, Monte Carlo. Look for The Princess Diaries, What A Girl Wants and The Prince and Me on DVD.
