When's the best time to wash my face?

My mom says that I should wash my face in the shower because it is already wet, but I like to wash it out of the shower. What is the best way to clean my face?

Have you ever heard the phrase “different strokes for different folks”? Well, it definitely applies to this sitch! Sure, your mom might prefer to wash her face in the shower when she’s scrubbing the rest of her bod, but just ‘cause that’s her routine doesn’t mean it has to be yours.

To tell ya the truth, it doesn’t matter when you wash your face so long as you do it once a day, maybe twice if you’re getting sweaty or if you have oily skin. While it's convenient to wash your face in the shower, and exposes your sensitive skin to less water, which can be drying, it's definitely not a must-do. After a workout or before bed are perfectly good times to get squeaky clean.
Whenever you decide to scrub up, use warm water—not hot or cold—and your cleanser of choice. Rub gently with a washcloth or the pads of your fingers, then rinse well and moisturize. Tada!
