Brown discharge. Period prob?

I’ve had my period for three years, but this week was different. At the end of my period, I started getting brownish discharge on and off. What’s going on?

Hey girlie, that brownish discharge could be a couple of different things, none of which you should worry about. What could be happening is that your body is getting rid of old endometrial tissues, which line the uterus, to make room for newer tissues. This cleaning process is perfectly normal and makes sure that your uterus is ready for future periods. Another possible reason for the brownish discharge is just old blood that’s ready to come out. Just because it’s changed from a red to brownish color doesn’t mean you should be scared.

Brownish discharge is quite common, but if it starts to have a strong odor, you should go see your doctor to make sure everything’s OK. Use your instincts, and if you think something’s up, go get it checked out. Remember-it’s better safe than sorry.

I am having my first period and I've been getting some brown discharge, but also all of a sudden the blood started getting kinda sticky and it looked like there was weird things in it? explain

This month, I had brown discharge (and also a teensy bit of blood on toilet paper when I wiped) for one week before my actual period. Is this normal, too?

If the discharge has a foul or fishy smell, then you should definitely tell a doctor - that could be a sign of an infection.

ok i know this is gonna sound gross, but whenever for the last 3 days if i poop i wipe and i find red on the toilet paper. i havnt had my period yet, and im 12 years old. but what does this mean? im afraid to tell my grama (i live with my grama and grampa, but i see my mom ever weekend.) please answer cuz i dont know what it is. thanks

Hey Girl,

It sounds like you're having a tricky health issue, so the best thing you can do is tell your grandma. You shouldn't have any reason to be afraid when it comes to your health! She'll be able to make you a doctor's appointment and they can tell you what's up. If you're still too nervous, try telling your mom on the weekend. She may be able to help you out, too. Good luck!

Yesterday,I've got my first period.Actually, I was so happy.But, the worst thing is,we have to change the pads at all times.I've got my first period when I was going to take a bath before going to the school.Then, I felt something weird down there.It was bloody things.I told my mom, she said,"It is your first period." I was so shock!You know what, I am twelve years old.And, my weight is 33.5 kg and my height is 145 cm.Yeah, period is not based on our body size, but it is by our hormon.
