Brown discharge. Period prob?

I’ve had my period for three years, but this week was different. At the end of my period, I started getting brownish discharge on and off. What’s going on?

Hey girlie, that brownish discharge could be a couple of different things, none of which you should worry about. What could be happening is that your body is getting rid of old endometrial tissues, which line the uterus, to make room for newer tissues. This cleaning process is perfectly normal and makes sure that your uterus is ready for future periods. Another possible reason for the brownish discharge is just old blood that’s ready to come out. Just because it’s changed from a red to brownish color doesn’t mean you should be scared.

Brownish discharge is quite common, but if it starts to have a strong odor, you should go see your doctor to make sure everything’s OK. Use your instincts, and if you think something’s up, go get it checked out. Remember-it’s better safe than sorry.

MOD MOD MOD How long do u usually experience discharge be4 u get ur period? I have had discharge for about 6 months... is my period coming soon? if discharge continues for 2 months or more should i see a doctor? My family doctor is a man and i don`t feel comfortable talking about it with him! HELP!!

My period is 2 months late, and I gained 3 pounds and Ive been feeling bloated and having heart burn and back pains. I''m haven't been sexually active, but I went swimming with 4 guys (my cousins) in my pool the week before my period. What's going on? Please help! My comments haven't been showing up. Thanks!

Hey girlie, I really doubt that being in the pool would have any effect on this. You're probably not pregnant! See a doctor to find out what the deal is. Any changes in your eating and exercise habits, or just puberty, could be responsible for the weight gain.

So i am pretty scared so i had my second period and like 2 days after i got bloated with tons of water and it has been about a week and i still have tht water and stuff and i workout and it doesnt go down. Whats Wrong?? By the way I am 12

Hey girlie, that might be your period. Use a pad for the rest of the day and see if you continue bleeding.

MODMOD so i got my period and my mom said i cant use tampons for a while but what happens if i am invited to go somewhere with a pool? and i was wonering if i was going to grow more than 2 more inches because im only 4-10 1/2 and i want to be at least 5'2" before i stop growing. is there a possibilitly to grow more? and i think pads are ok-ish like i suppose theyre fine but i think i would like tampons better and i hate taking showers when i am on it because i feel discusting and wet can i fix that? sorry its so long-thanks

Tampons are the only way to go in the pool, so you should talk to your mom about compromising. As far as growing, it all depends on your genetics how tall you'll be. Only your doctor can give you an estimate on growth.
