Summer’s almost over, sadly, and we’re totally bummed to ditch the sun, sand and sea for serious studying at school. But one of the best parts of the beach you can drag out a bit longer? The naturally undone yet absolutely gorgeous waves ya get by splashing in the sea.

So when we heard about Pravana’s The Beach Wave Control Mist, we had to give it a go. Pravana’s new product claims to produce the same effortless effect with just a spritz, plus added sun protection as a sweet bonus – we crossed our fingers and hoped for boardwalk locks.

...And we weren’t disappointed!  The secret is in the natural ingredients -- a formula of wheat, silk and keratin amino acids adds flexibility (read: no hairspray helmet head!). We adored how easy it was to spray, tousle and go. Voila! Instant beach babe.

This is one beach spray we’ll hold onto long past Labor Day.

MOD! Hey(: I'm currently a brunette. I tried dying my hair ash blonde at home on June 25th, but my hair pretty much stayed the same color, it just got a teensy bit lighter. Then six weeks later, I tried using Sun-In, which DID make a difference, but I don't have the blonde I want. I started using the Sun-In last Friday, and I used it everyday, but my last application was Tuesday or Wednesday. Is it safe to dye my hair again before school starts (on August 30th) or should I wait until either Labor Day or my next haircut? Thank you(:

Hey girly,
If I were you, I would wait. You don't want to put too many chemicals in your hair at once.

MOD MOD MOD So i want to get a new hair straightener before school. I'm debating between sedu and chi brands. I have very fine hair and need something that can adjust the heat so it doesn't damage my hair too badly. I know they're expensive, but I want to know which one is better for my type of hair??? Thanks so much! Smile

Hey girly,
Both will work fine for your hair, but if you really want a good answer, ask someone who works with hair like a hairstylist.

MOD MOD MOD
Do you know of a good reasonably priced hair straighteners for thick frizzy hair?

Hey girl, I'd check out the straighteners at Target — tons of options!

Hey girl,

You just spritz the mist all over your hair, and then use your fingers to scrunch your hair. Soon, you'll have beach waves! x0x0

MOD
Hey Mod,
I was just wondering if salt water would work for my hair. I have naturally curly hair. So to get beachy waves should i soak my hair in salt water after it's already curly or should I blow dry or straigten my hair and then use salt water. Thanks (:

Hey girl,

You should blow dry your hair and then spritz it with salt water while scrunching it together to get beach waves! x0x0
