Blemish busters

 

 

We all deal with blemishes, but luckily there’s something you can do about them. Using facial cleansers with benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid are great for clearing up unwanted pimples, and these products can easily be found at most drugstores.  The benzoyl peroxide fights bacteria, and the salicylic acid eliminates excess oil on your skin. Together, they’re a blemish-fighting duo!

 

To get rid of the discoloration, you can make your own face mask right at home.  Just mix 1 cup of orange peels in a blender with 1 cup of milk until it turns into a paste, and slather onto the discolored areas.  Let it dry for 30 minutes, then rinse it off.  You can also rub fresh lemon juice on those spots and leave it on for about 15 minutes each day.  The discoloration could be from sun damage or acne scars, but using these tips should help it go away.

MOD MOD First day of school start in four days and I feel sick and my skin looks TERRIBLE! Anything I could do? Have lots of blemishes and scars... Preferably a natural solution . I can't use anything too harsh




Hey girlie!

First off, don't pick at any blemishes you may already have.  That makes it much, much worse.   Use a gentle face wash morning and night, and hold a warm, wet washcloth on the blamishes for a few minutes twice a day to draw out the unpleasantness that's in there.

If you're willing to take a step away from natural solutions, then find an acne cream with benzoyl peroxide and salyciic acid.

MOD MOD MOD okay so i have acne, and i have a dermatologist in 4 days, im a little nervous! I'm worried weather they will give me a product and it won't work or they will do something when im there. How do i know what to be prepared for? thanks!




Hey girl,

They'll probably come in and give you a "check up" like a normal doctor - they'll ask about your medical history, ask about your acne problems and what kind of routine you keep (cleaning, moisturizing, exfoliating, etc.), then check out your face. The first product they give you might not work - that's totally a possibility. But they're your doctor and it's their job to figure out what's causing the problem, then find something to fix it. Be honest and open with your doc so they're updated on what works, what irritates your skin, and what downright does nothing. Trust them and be sure you're honest - remember that and you'll be fine! Hey babe,

NEVER pop them! Promise me that. You could cause scars to form, which is even worse than having whiteheads and pimples - because scars last forever! Instead, clean your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser. Exfoliate two or three times a week with a scrub - use your fingers to scrub your skin with a soft, circular rubbing motion. And don't forget to drink a lot of water. It's great for your skin!

ok so i have dark circles under my eyes and they arnt bags like when they are right under my eyes but they are under that. and they are purple blue. and they look really bad, like i look like i havnt slept in 5 days!!! how can i help this!?!?!?!
p.s. my mom says that its normal and everyone has them, but none of the people i know have them!!!




Hey girl, your mom is right: everyone does have them to some extent. They're just shadows. You can add a little concealer to brighten them up if you're really worried or just relax and realize they're part of everyone's face and no one else notices the way you do.

MOD!MOD!MOD!
okay so last night i tried to use nair for hair above my lip (aka peach fuzz) and it took off most of the hair but there are still a couple shorter dark ones that didnt go away all the way but that isnt my problem its just reallly annoying. anyways it iterated the skin and now at the corners of my mouth i have little patches of skin that are dry red and scab-like and it looks really bad and i tried moisturizing, using cover-up and now i have neosporn on it but i don't know what to do because school starts on monday!!! also now that i know nair isnt good for my skin what will i use when the hair grows back because itll be darker and i wont be able to use nair!! HELP!!!!!!




Hey girlie, neosporin is probably the best solution for the red patches on your lip. I'm sure they'll be gone by Monday and you can use cover up if it's not. In the future, tweeze the hairs. It might hurt, but they'll be gone for 3 weeks or so and won't irritate it as much.
