Buggin' over big feet

I have really long feet like my dad. I wear a size 8. Every time I see my friends with their size-3 feet, I get really self-conscious. And every time I try on new shoes I feel embarrassed. I think they look weird. How can I get some self confidence?

Take it from a girl who used to work in a shoe store: Your feet are totally normal. Small tootsies might be cute, but they’re becoming more and more rare. And finding shoes for little feet? That’s hard work, babe!

The average shoe size in America is soaring. Sevens, eights, nines, tens are all incredibly and increasingly common. The next time you’re feeling embarrassed over your feet, head out to the shoe store and have a ball with all the styles open to you. I think you’ll find yourself trying on way more pairs than your pals! It’s time to embrace your feet, no matter what size they are. After all, they’re the only two you have.

Oh, and one more thing. Chances are your friends’ feet will go through a growth spurt, too. So no worries, OK?
