Am I too young to be in love?



How do I know if I'm in love? My friends always say that they love with their crushes or BFs, but my mom says 13 is too young to be in love. Is she right?
 
Before ya do anything else, as yourself this, chica: am I really old enough to be worrying about love? You're 13, not even in high school yet, and your friends are declaring love for boys that may not even know they exist, or they only hold hands with in the halls? I don't know about you, girlie, but I don't think that sounds like they really love those guys. You should be worrying about acing your classes and having fun with your besties. Guys are wonderful and all, but being truly in love with them shouldn't be your biggest concern right now.
 
Your mom is totes right about 13 being too young to be in love. You haven't completely figured out who you are and what you want in life. Plus, love takes a long time to develop -- not just one week of going out, or seeing your cutie in class for two months. Sure, you can really like a guy and gush to your BFFs about how completely adorable and amazing he is, but love at 13 is totally too young to truly know if you're in love.

I am only 11 and in the 5th grade, and people are already dating in my class. I'm not - even though I can totally telll several boys are checking me out.

I think 13 is too young to be in love. BUT it is VERY possible to truly be in love at a young age. Not 13 mind you, but you CAN love some one at a young age. IF they are the person God created for you. Smile

I think there is a part of us that can be in love at 13, then there is a part of us that cant. But I think there are people who can understand what it is to a point. I have a bf and love him but I am not sure if its the same love I would have if I were much older.

So there is this guy and his is like my best friend. He is like a brother to me. He knows everything about me and we are always together. We flirt A LOT. Everybody always comments on it or tells us to stop flirting. Multiple people ask us if we're going out or if we like each other. It happens everyday. So I think he might like me. I really like him. But he has known for sure that I liked him before and he didn't ask me out or anything. Does he like me or is he just being a really good friend? And if he does like me, how do I get him to ask me out?
