Make my khakis look cute!

Having to wear a uniform can seem like damper on your fashion freedom, but you can easily modify those boring khakis by adding some fun accessories to change things up. 


Belt it
An easy addition is a bold belt in a color that will pop and add some excitement to your same ol' uniform.

These are all really cute but I can't do any I'd these things to my uniform! Firstly, our shorts cant be as short as the first picture, we aren't allowed to have skinny pants (they have to be either straight leg or flare) so we can't cuff them up, and we aren't allowed to wear boots or moccasins so we can't tuck our pants in!!! D:

At my school, we can wear khakis, a blue or white polo, a navy or khaki pleated skirt at knee length. On fridays we have to wear the skirts with an oxford shirt, pullover, vest or cardigan...so they're not that bad.

BUT, we have to wear a belt, and it has to be black or brown only. We can't cuff our khakis. And we can only wear black or brown dress shoes. So none of this would work for me.

omg i HATE uniforms!! i have to wear this hideous white polo shirt with a green plaid skirt. its just awful and its super unflattering!!! the shirts too big and the teachers get mad when we get our skirts hemmed so my skirt is at a very unflattering length

MOD MOD MOD! I have this kahki skirtb and i hate it! its not flattering and i cant add a belt becuase it has no loops for a belt. We are allowed to add accesories but i dont have anythat goes with a baby blue shirt and my kahki skirt! UGLY!!! HELP

 

Hey girlfriend, mhmm I hate unflattering clothes lol! You could try tucking the shirt into your skirt and adding different accessories. Try necklaces, bracelets and rings. A headband and a cute purse would look cute too! Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile

Okay, picture day is coming! I've looked terrible in almost every pic for the last few years. I have medium brown curly hair that takes an hour to style in the morning to look even half decent. What should I do? I have a sort of square and heart shaped face combined, so I'd like to have a nice hairstyle. Also, how should makeup look? I have brown eyes, I usually wear brown eyeshadow and mascara.

 

Hey doll! My hair is naturally curly as well and I always wear it out! People love it! If you are self-conscious about your curly hair why not straighten it with a flat iron the day before your pics are being taken? There are a variety of looks you can do: an updo (bun, ponytail) with pieces hanging out, or maybe even curl your hair with a curling iron. As far as makeup, you can do a soft look. You don't need to do too much. Maybe wear a light pink blush and pink or nude lips with your brown eye shadow and mascara. That should do it!

MOD MOD MOD!!! so this year i'm going to a different middle school as my friends, and we have khaki bottoms like above. so 2 questions... 1. what kind of makeup and hairstyle would make a khaki skirt, polo shirt, and some light blue oxfords look good? 2. the girls at the school i'm going to are really gossipy, preppy, and a little to girly. they all wear khaki skirts every day but i kind of want to wear pants (after cools down here of course). should i take a risk of being made fun of by the girls by wearing pants? thanks for the help! p.s. i love those boots! thanks for putting them on this post! -katie

Mod mod mod! After I went back to school shopping, and my BFF saw me wearing all my new clothes, she decided to go shopping herself and buy ALL the same EXACT pieces I wore. It really bothered me that she couldn't be an individual and have her own style but I tried to be nice and say "yea we can be twins haha." How can I let my BFF know that that bothered me without being rude? I do not want to lose our friendship over some dumb situation like this. Thanks!

MOD MOD MOD My period is super light right now, which is weird cuz i've only had it since saturday afternoon. usually they last like 5 days...

 

When you first get your period, it fluctuates in length and flow--so while last month it may have been one way, this month things may be alittle different. Wait until next month and if things don't sit well with you, check with your doctor Smile
