Calling all cheerleaders!


 
Sept. 9th, is National School Spirit Day. Who knew? Our friends over at Varsity informed us that it's about more than just sporting your school's colors (though go HERE if you wanna do that!). They want cheerleaders to commit to doing 4 hours of service by tomorrow! So far pom-sporting girls across the country have pledged over 71,000 hours. Whoa! They’re doling out prizes and even have a celeb supporting the cause, cheerleader Kendall Jenner! Cool, right?

Time might be running out, but you could soo do an hour before school tomorrow, devote your lunch to tutoring (while you eat!) and a couple hours before the big game. Varsity has plenty of ideas, so jump to it!

ok i really wanna make my high school freshman cheer leading tryouts next yr. but i have like extra skin and all around my tummy.
any tips on what to do to prepare for try outs(they are in april) and lose the pudge around my tummy

Hey Kellie,

The best thing to do is practice practice practice for these tryouts based on advice you get from older girls on the squad, the coach, etc. Seek them out - be warm/laid back in your conversation but show your dedication: tell them you want to be prepared as possible for tryouts, so you really want to get as many tips and suggestions as possible about what to focus on. They'll be able to help you with routines, exercises, and even pep talk! Smile As for the pudge, just try incorporating a bit of cardio into your daily routine. Brisk walks, jogging, biking, swimming, kickboxing, etc. can all help keep ya in shape for the tryouts - while also helping you tone your bod.
