I was wondering because my parents are not going to let me get the GL magazine anymore because of buget things. I will sadly miss the magazine a lot and I was wondering if i DID (though there many very talented writers) I could see it in the mag

MODMODMOD ok so i want to become a writer when i grow up but will this even help, my friend thinks im amazing at writin and she took my book to school and got peoples oppionin on t they said they would read it if it was a real book im really good but how do i show people? I want to give the book i wrote to an editor and a real writer like my favs but the thing is im pretty shy and i have no clue wat im doing

 

Hey missy, just to get your name out there you can always submit your writing to writing contests or your school or local newspaper. You could always make a website or blog and post all your work on there. Also start selling your books at your school and your friends school. And don't forget we have writing stuff for you to do here all the time!! Hope this helps ya girl!!!!! Smile

We definitely love the GREAT response we received for this contest - the fact that we got all you creative chicas thinking and writing has made us really happy, so I'm sure we'll try it again sometime in the future Smile Instead of trying to passively "get a boy to notice you," try reaching out to him and getting to know him. If he's in one of your classes, use that as your thing in common - ask him a question about the most recent homework or test, then let the convo evolve into other things. You can also depend on mutual friends to help you make a connection. The most important thing is to keep calm in the convo and always be on the lookout for new talking points - questions you can ask him about himself, related experiences you can share, etc. Be yourself, confident, and warm...and he'll have no choice but wanna keep chatting with ya Smile
