Ever feel like some of the books we feature on here are just a little old for ya? Well, this one is for you. What would you do if you walked into your math class and saw that the teacher was your age? That is exactly the premise of The Clueless Girl’s Guide to Being a Genius by Janice Repka. Sounds intriguing already, right?


This funny tale about unlikely friends follows math genius and 13-year-old teacher, Aphrodite Wigglessmith, and an eighth grade baton queen, Mindy Loft.


Aphrodite accepts a position teaching low-level math at her old middle school with the plan to prove she isn’t the only one who can be a math whiz. Things are rocky from the beginning, but soon Aphrodite begins to inspire Mindy and the rest of her students. You will LOL at the unusual teaching methods in this book and by the end, we guarantee you will be wishing for your own Ms. Wigglessmith!

This book was pretty funny, but i would suggest it for the younger age set- it was a little bit silly and seemed to be geared for girls about 7-9.
