Get in the Halloween groove with a gaggle of ghoulish
goodies. We headed to the graveyard for inspiration, but thanks to a sprinkling
of sugar on top, these bites are more sweet than unsavory. Dig in!
Krispy, crunchy, creepy monsters
Mix up some Rice Krispy Treats and use food coloring to dye
them different colors. Roll small pieces into balls and add a few different
candies (like M&Ms and Candy Corn). Save ‘em for a party, or eat ‘em up
after school.
What are you lookin at?
Gross out your guests with some ewwey eyeball treats. Melt a
bag of white chocolate to dip donut holes in and let them sit till they harden.
Then decorate them with gooey red icing for the veins and some black
mini-M&Ms for the pupils.
Sugar coated
Dip some apples in caramel and chocolate then roll them
around in crushed up candies, colored sugar or sprinkles for the ultimate sugar
rush. Hey, it’s OK! Apples are still
fruit, even when ya roll ‘em around in sugar.
From the grave cupcakes
Give your guests delicious cupcakes with a deadly twist.
Bake cupcakes like you normally would and top with white icing. Then, cover the
tops of the cupcakes with crushed up oreos, gummy worms and brown sprinkles to
look like dirt, worms and bugs. Bonus? Works with brownies, too!
Chocolate spiders
This treat is really sweet, even if it looks a li’l scary.
All you have to do is cut Twizzlers into fourths, then slice lengthwise to
create 8 little legs. Then melt chocolate candies in a double boiler (one bowl
set into a pot of boiling water). Drop melted chocolate in the middle of the
Twizzler legs and connect the pieces to make the treat look like a spider. Let
the cool and prepare for your guests to be freaked out!
