Deep breaths, babe! Everything’s going to be just fine. Getting your braces removed is a li’l scary ‘cause it’s a long appointment and those suckers are glued to your teeth, after all. But don’t worry; while you might feel some discomfort as your orthodontist removes the wires and brackets, you should never be in full-out pain. He (or she) will have to scrape and chip off the remaining cement, and the pressure put on your mouth can be quite uncomfortable. Focus on breathing through your nose, one breath at a time, and you’ll get through it, I promise.
So calm down, sweetie, and get ready to work that grin! Good luck and congrats!

I have really sensitive teeth but I was fine getting my braces off. When they pulled off the brackets off it was uncomfortable but it did not hurt. Then they scrape the cement/glue off. That takes a long time and hurts a little but is so worth it.

I've had braces on my top teeth twice and once on my lower teeth. It wasn't that bad getting them off. It was worse when the first pair came off when I was nine because my teeth were still settling in. Last time I barely felt anything. There was blood though and cement flying around in my mouth though! Getting braces off isn't as bad as people say.
