Our school has a new thing this year called the "Snowball" or "Winter Semi-Formal." I have 2 questions about this!
1.) How should I wear my hair! I have thick, frizzy, curly/wavy hair. It's medium length.
2.) How do I ask a guy to the dance if I am pretty sure that he likes someone else!

Hey girl,

1) Try pulling it up into a loose, wavy bun! Use a deep conditioner in the shower, then a leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower. These will help soften your hair and make it a lil easier to work with. Then pull it all up to about ponytail height, using hair ties and bobby pins to keep it in place. If some curls fall out/become loose, don't sweat it! It'll be messy chic Smile

2) This kind of thing is stressful...but there's no other way to go about it besides DOING IT. Take a deep breath and go up to him at his locker. "Hey! So this Snowball is coming up...do you wanna go with me?" Be confident and remember to smile warmly the whole time. Just be happy and friendly. And most important - relax! Sure, if he says no, it'll be a bummer. But the most important thing is to go for it so you don't wonder "What if I...?" <3

MOD MOD MOD MOD MOD!!! okay so lately I have been getting these white spots on my legs and sometimes there are bumps around them but sometimes there are not. and they are really irritating and itchy! sometimes they even burn to have clothing over them. What do you think they could be?!and they almost always show up in the same spots. help!

They could be pimples, ingrown hairs, an allergic reaction/rash, or something totally different. My advice would be to ask your doctor about them! Describe your symptoms and even take a picture the next time you get one. That way, you can get a professional's advice Smile

MOD MOD MOD MOD!!!! ok i think i may be going on my first date soon. my best friend and i were talking about my boyfriend and we were thinking that maybe over our thanksgiving break we can go on a group date to the movies..so its not official but it might happen. i just have a few probs... 1.) i'm in 7th grade and 13...am i too young? i've been to the movies with my friends before without parents but never with my boyfriend comin along. 2.) i have nooo idea how to ask my parents.we don't talk about boys much...and its my first boyfriend so they aren't use to this. what do i do if they don't let me! or how could i convience them that i am responsible enough and that they should let me go?!

 

Hey girl, you should let them meet your boyfriend and maybe even his parents. That way they'll know who you're going out with. Also explain to them, that it isn't a one on one date, it's a group thing with you and your best friend, that makes it seem less serious. Even have them talk to your bff's parents so they have everyone's contac info just in case something were to happen. Hope this helps!! Smile Smile

Hey girl, sometimes we all have to step outside our comfort zone. Try to strike up a convo with a guy even if its just "hey, cool shirt," or  something completely random. Or in class talk to someone near you about the homework assignments, see if you can work together. That always works! Give it a go!

mod mod mod about 2 days i was talking to my bff's crush about crushes and who everyone liked.Well i already found out who he likes and we started talking about who my bff's crush was.(P.S. IT WAS HIM!)I told him i couldnt tell anyone.He kept begging for me to tell him for 10 minutes.i knew if i told him my bff would never forgive me.But all of i sudden i said "she likes you!". I started freaking out and stressing saying omg she's never going tot forgive me.I feel terible and i feel like im the worst person that anyone could trust.What if monday when i go back to school she freaks out on me!WHAT DO I DO NOW?

 

Hey girly, all you can do is apologize and let her know it was a mistake. Tell her it came out  by accident, and you'll do anything you can to make it up to her. You have to accept the fact that she's going to be mad at you for a while, so let her cool off and then talk to her again. It will be fine, thigns like this happen to girlfiriends everythwere.
