Knock out those period blues before they get to you


 
We all know the feeling, chicas.  That nagging pile of unfortunate alerts that let you know your monthly visit is on it's way.  Lucky for you, we've got the inside deets on how to beat those pesky symptoms before they even hit ya!

Beat the bloat
Stray away from your salty favorites for a little while.  Why?  Your bod is going to puff just a bit either way, so don't make it worse by packing in some extra batches of sodium.

More moo juice, please
They say calcium can toss a serious hit to those cramps, and babes, dairy is your best bet to do so. Aim for a couple hundred milligrams of calcium twice a day to cut down cramps by almost half!

Say Ohm
It's pretty self-explanatory when you think about it.  Your flow comes along with some pretty messy bouts of mood swings.  What better way to calm your triggers than indulging in some yoga time.

Tub time
Chances are it's probably been a long while since you've taken a nice long bubble bath.  Take this opportunity to slip on in.  The warm water will help keep everything moving along inside to ease your pain.

Hello! I'm new on this website,but I have a really important questions. I'm 12 years old and I haven't had my period yet.OUt of al my friends,I'm the only one that didn't get her period yet. I always get these thoughts that one day. I won't have my period or something. Is that possible.For a girl NOT to have her period.I've been having discharge for the past 2 years already and sometimes it comes out chunky or in a ball form.Sometimes it burns down there but if I wash it.Te burning sensation goes away. I've been growing some hair,and been having some crapms,and REALLY BAD MOOD SWINGS. My vagina isn't like fully open,but it isn't fully closed either. It's like alittle hole where all the discharge comes out.Do you know when my period's going to come.? I never went to the doctor to ask about these questions because I feel uncomfortable. I'm really scared that I won't be able to become a mommy someday or something. I really need advice! Thank you!

Hey gl_readah, every girl is different but the next one will probably come in the 25 to28 days. Be sure to keep a scheldue of your periods so you can be prepared for the next one. Hope this helps!! Xoxo

Today i found a lot of smelly brown stuff in my underwear and it was thick like it had the same texture as discharge. This was in my underwear in September also but not October or November. What is this?




That may be your period getting closer and closer. Normally periods are brown near the end of the week, so you may just be getting a tiny bit of period each month. I do believe youll get your period soon. xoxo kerra

im so super scared. So i had ALOT of discharge lately. And not to be gross but i was constipated..ew. and today at school i finally went adn when i went there was blood. i thought maybe cause i had to push hard so i thought nothing of it. Then more blood came but i was brownish red. it wasnt THAT much though. then later i went to the bathroom and my udies were stained brown and kinda red. and i always fell like my undies are wet. I didnt tell my mom. its kinda awkard cause my mom makes a big deal out of everything, including bras Frown is thta my period??? im just really scared. im 12 years old.




Thats most certainly  your period. Dont be scared! Its completely natural. Plus the constipated feeling was probably your period cramps - they can hurt sometimes. I suggest you tell your mom and she'll help you get pads and tampons etc. xoxo kerra
