What to do, what to do when all of your Twilight-obsessed
besties can’t stop talking about Bella and Edward’s big
Breaking Dawn wedding bash? Make some fun of your own, of course!
If you’re not into the whole sparkly vampire thing, we’ve got a handful of
stellar alternatives that’ll make your weekend rock…no fangs (or creepy
half-vampire birth scenes) required.
Marathon Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly
Hallows: Part 2.
Because if you’re not a Twi-hard, you must be a Potterhead, right?
Volunteer with a
holiday fundraising drive. There are tons of organizations, from churches to
youth groups to schools, that are spending time this weekend collecting goods
for Thanksgiving, the chilly winter season and the holidays. Lend a hand!
Write a thank-you note
to your favorite teacher. She (or he) will really appreciate it, trust me!
Earn a few bucks
raking leaves for your neighbors. What you do with your hard-earned dough
(celebratory trip to Starbucks, anyone?) is up to you.
Still noshing on leftover Halloween candy? Up your chocolate
style file and turn it into homemade chocolate bark. Better yet, hunt down some candy canes, crush 'em up and make peppermint bark!
Ok, ok, one more guilty pleasure:
Take your sibs (or babysitting charges) to the movies to
catch Happy Feet Two. Dancing penguins? Come on, you know you want to go!
