Get a move on and join the service generation!

Making your mark on the world has never been easier, thanks to generationOn. This youth service movement is encouraging tweens and teens around the world to get involved in their communities. Thanks to partnerships with other non-profits, generationOn is able to show youth first-hand what problems their world faces, and supply them with the tools they need to make a positive change.

Are you ready to join the service generation? All you have to do is log on to holidaytoys.generationon.org to make your pledge. You can pledge to do a service project solo, with friends or family, your class or school or a non-profit organization. For each category, generationOn offers up a handful of ideas to get ya started in addition to letting your come up with a project of your own. Pick something that inspires you, and then get everyone you know involved.

You can pledge your time and effort from now through Dec. 13, 2011. And best of all, Hasbro has promised to match every pledge (up to 100,000) with a toy donation through Toys for Tots. To date, 14,673 pledges have been made. There’s never been a better time to impact your community…and spread some holiday cheer.

Are you going to make a pledge?
