Drum
roll please…
It’s
13-year-old Chicago pop singer
Shealeigh!
The
winner was announced by cutie Cody Simpson and Radio Disney on-air
personality Jake Whetter last night during the N.B.T.
Finale Concert at The Americana in California. And we can’t
congratulate her enough!
We
chatted with Shealeigh right before her big win and here’s what she
had to say…
GL:
How’s this whole N.B.T.
experience been for you?
Shealeigh:
Oh my goodness, It’s been such an amazing journey, learning so many
things along the way. I’ve just had so much fun doing what I love:
singing, writing and performing.
What
was your favorite fan encounter during this process?
I
preformed at the Magnificent Mile Lights Parade and these two girls
made me a notebook that had my name on it and it was filled with fun
facts about me. It was the sweetest thing I’ve ever gotten. But I
remember they put their Twitter names on there, so I tweeted them a
thank you.
Cody
Simpson helped you out during this season of N.B.T.
what was your first impression of him?
He’s
so sweet! It was actually a surprise meeting him. I walked into the
room and he was just standing there, and it was like, “OMG, it’s
Cody Simpson!” He was really fun to talk to and he’s just so
nice.
You
must’ve learned a lot from your fellow N.B.T.
artists. What’s one fun fact you can share about finalist Zack
Montana?
He wears
different colored shoes a
lot. And he loves [Shake
It Up’s] Zendaya.
Congrats
again on winning Season 4 of N.B.T.
Any final words for
your fans?
I want
to thank them from the bottom of my heart for voting for me up to
this point. I’ve really had the time of my life and can’t wait to
see what comes next.
So
what’s next for Shealeigh? She’ll join Ernie D in-studio for a
Radio Disney Take Over, airing Friday,
Dec. 9 at 6
p.m. ET. That evening,
she’ll also be spotlighted in a feature airing on Disney Channel
during a new episode of A.N.T.
Farm at 8:30
p.m. ET/PT. But that’s
not all! Shealeigh will also take the stage one again Saturday,
Dec. 10 as the opener for
N.B.T. alums
Kicking Daisies and Coco Jones at Radio Disney’s final N.B.T.
On Tour concert in
Celebration, Florida.
Be on
the lookout for this popstar’s new single soon. And her hit “What
Can I Say” will also be featured in early 2012 in Disney Channel’s
Radio Rebel
movie—starring Debby Ryan.
Were you
rooting for Shealeigh all along? Blog about it, babes.
