H&M gets caught in the act

 
This week we’re wagging our finger at one of our fave stores, H&M. The fashion-on-the-cheap retail chain was caught pasting the heads of real models onto virtual CGI bodies in their online shop. Not cool, H&M!

 

While they’re probably not the first to use this tactic (and likely won’t be the last), we’re disappointed that the retailer continues to perpetuate the notion of the ideal body as being thin, toned and tan. Aren’t we ready to see some real girls rocking the clothes we’re dying to buy?

 

And as a sketchy side note, when you look at a series of the CGI body/real head combination images—and I mean really look—it’s super creepy. Check out the images (and more of the scoop) on adweek.com.

MOD! hey sorry for the all Caps... but I carpool with these two people my dads friends with and the gossip a lot... and sometimes about my friends. I'm talking with them so they're not ignoring me... But all I do when the talk about my friends is stay extremely quiet... so is it wrong not to defend my friends? These people are kinda popular and gossipy could talk bad about me, or probably already are. So should I defend them???

 

Hey girlfriend, yeah I think you should say something to them. Once they know they're your friends they will probably stop talking about them, or at least in front of you. And you don't have to be mean about it, just let them know you have a problem with their gossiping. Hope this helps!!! Smile )

On Monday I am going to a amusement park with some friends but im not sure what to wear or how to do my hair? It will be in the high 50 degree range and I have long curly hair. Thanks! (:




Hey babe,

Since 50 degrees isn't too hot or too cold, I'd go with a pair of jeans, cute boots, and a tank top with a sweater over top! Maybe bring a light jacket (a hoodie, a leather jacket, etc.) just in case you get chilly. As for your hair, keep it casual with a sleek high ponytail. That way, it won't get in your face or get messy on any rides Smile

That's ridiculous. All of the real girls look different, and that's the way it's supposed to be. Real figures, real lines, real movement, not just real faces.

this is actually a reeaaally bias article. Do you no how long it would take to get EVERY single model to try on each piece of clothing, and every type of outfit. there HAS to be at least a thousand different possibilities. They did it to save time, and a heck of a lot of money.
