How to win over your ex's new GF

 
 
My BGF, who also happens to be my ex, has a new GF named Shyanne. I'm pretty sure she hates me. Do you know a way to help me get along with her?

Uh-oh, girlie, this could be just a tad trickier than normal.  Chances are, since he's you ex and also you BGF that she may be automatically suspicious of you. She's likely to be wondering why the friendship continued on, or if there's still some feelings there on either side.

Lucky for you, girls open up to their friends. If you want to get on Shyanne's good side, you may have to take some time out to get to know her, without him tagging along.  Throw out some conversations starters on Facebook, anything to let her know that you have nothing but good intentions.

Bring it up to your BGF, as well, he may be able to help you out.  If she doesn't already know that you'd like to befriend her, he could casually toss that out to her.  Or maybe he has the inside deets on why she seems so standoffish to you.

All in all, it's a really good idea to take this step.  It shows some serious dedication to your friendship, and what makes him happy.  Pat yourself on the back, babe!

Mod Mod Mod! So me and my bf dated for a total of 10 days and I dumped him twice. We talked for a little while afterwards but then for some reason that I can't remember I decided I didn't want to be friends do I ignored his texts then I told him and then he stopped texting me. But I know that he wants to be friends again but I told him its not the time for that. But sometimes at night the idea of texting him some random song or sometimes coming friends again comes around and I'm not sure what to do cause I know that I hate but I don't know why? Help me please




Hey girl,

It's totally normal to miss your ex after a breakup, but that doesn't mean you should give in to the urge to text/call. You broke up (twice) for a reason and you're pushing him away for a reason too. Don't lose sight of that - remind yourself why you could never work out. Refresh your memory about why you decided you didn't wanna be friends. There's nothing wrong with making those decisions - you're doing the best thing for both of you, since this lets you guys move on. But you gotta stay true to what you feel, not flip flop just because you're feeling lonely one night. We all get there - but be strong and you'll learn how to move past it! <3

So i broke up with a guy because we didn't talk that much and it wasn't fun anymore. One of my friends (his close girl-friend) said that he misses talking to me. I just find that it would be pretty awkward if i tried to talk to him. Any tips? I don't want to make it seem like i like him again but i don't want to be rude and just ignore him like I've been doing. Also i have this guys number (a friend of his gave it to me) and one of my friends texted him on my phone but using a different name. I went along then he figured out who i was. He wasn't mad or anything but then i thought of him and found him on Facebook. He was really sweet when we texted but he had a Gf and it says he has one now so i don't want to hurt anyone, but I kind of want to text him like "Hey, it (my name) remember me but i don't want to be awkward AGAINSmile. Any advice for that?

Do you have any interest in going out again? It doesn't sound like it! And it also doesn't sound like you were very good friends before you dated either. So it's not like you owe it to him to be BFFs. Instead, just be friendly in small ways, like smiling in the hallways when you pass him. Don't avoid him, but you don't have to go out of your way to make him feel better. Breakups are hard for everyone - but you don't have to feel pressured into doing something you don't want to do, just to avoid hurting his feelings! <3




As for the other guy... try growing closer as friends for now! You can totally text him, saying something like "Hey it's ___! It's been so long, how have you been?" That way, you keep things friendly but you also start up your friendship again. That way, when he IS single, you'll be in a perf situation to start flirting Smile
