How to stay friends with your BGF after your crush confession

I used to hang out with my crush all the time. It was an equal effort, and we were constantly laughing and joking around. But when he found out that I liked him, he's kind of awkward now. I want to tell him that nothing's changed and that I still feel the same way, but that's not something I'm comfortable saying. What should I do??

His Answer: “Guys get weirded out very easily and can make things very awkward because they don’t know how else to act,” says Tyler, 15. “Also, guys get more awkward when they have to talk about feelings so it is better to show them.”

Decoded: Since guys are much more visual learners and are not huge fans of confrontation, don’t feel the needed to have a deep chat with you crush. He may just be freaked out, but it is nothing you can’t fix.

Your Move: If you are okay with being just friends, invite your crush to hang out with you and your usual group of mutual friends to show things are still the same. But, if he's still weirded out, give him some time to ease his awkwardness while you distract yourself with schoolwork, other friends or even a new crush.
