There is this really sweet, funny, and cute guy who I kind of like. I think he may like me back. Sometimes though he acts immature. Should I look for a different guy or take a chance on him?


You’ve probably heard that boys mature more slowly than girls, and it couldn’t be truer. At this age, it’s tough to find guys that aren’t immature, but before you date one, you have to ask yourself how much you can take.


If you can deal with his immaturity and laugh at his sense of humor, then you should totally go for it. Lots of guys who act immature in public are just putting on a front for their friends, so he might be a different person when it’s just the two of you. But don’t expect him to automatically turn into Prince Charming. If you’re gonna give him a chance, you have to accept him for who he is.


On the other hand, if you think his immaturity is too annoying to handle, but you date him anyway, you’ll end up resenting him more than you like him. So figure out if it’s worth it to you, and then decide if you want to date him.

I think you have just got to consider whether you will be able to put up with the immaturity, because if you can't, then eventually this guy will start to feel like your little brother. It will get old really fast.

Yeah talk to your guidance counselor. It will save your rents from going crazy and you a lot of money. Smile Smile

MODMODMOD!! Ok, PLEASE answer this. What are some symptoms of teenage depression? Because these days, Im feeling really depressed, and like, Im a pessimist in general, and even with the holidays, I know that I should be happy, but im just..not. I'll be doing something fun and be all happy, but like, at night, when I just have time to think, I feel real depressed. And 2 summers ago, I had serious issues with just thinking _about_ suicide, not actually doing it, but the thought rather, haunted me. But last school year helped with that, and life was aweseome. But this year, my school year is poop. I have no friends in my classes, my classes are boring, and ridiculuosly easy, and Ive grown bored. Is this just normal, or something else? I havent talked to anyone about it, because if it is, then I dont want to spaz anyone else out, like I did 2 summers ago. And Im only 13. Is this normal. Please answer!

 

Hey chicky, I'm no professional but it sounds like you may be experiencing some mild symptoms. You may want to let a parent know so you can get some help. It's better to attack these feelings now before they begin to overwhelm your life. One thing you can do on your own to start fighting your depression is meditating. Finding a quiet place to close your eyes and relax will help clear your thoughts and calm you down. Hope this helps!! And I hope you feel better!! Smile Smile

first of all thank you, i am really confused right now. there are a few guys im sorta stuck trying to figure out right now. guy 1he is super nice & cute & we talk alot. but i have liked him since like prek & i just started talking to him again.guy 2 i just recently met a few months ago.i met him bcus my fam switched churches. he is really nice & cute & funny. i went ona camping/horseback riding trip with my church & when we went to the portapotty(it was like1/4 of a mile away from camp) it was really dark out & i was kinda crowding by him&he was joking around with me. guy3 is really nice and we have alot of classes together, but 2 of my frnds like him. he is really nice and funny and he just makes me happy. so could you please help me! Smile

You don't have to decide now -- just hang out with both of them and see what happens. If you get along with both of them as friends, there's no problem with that! You may realize that you're better off as friends with one of them, or both of them, so just play it cool until you decide!
