A li'l pee problem

 
Whenever I go to the bathroom, when I stand up, more pee leaks into my underwear. Sometimes so much that I have to change my underwear. Do I have a weak bladder or something?


It happens to the best of us, chica.  It's entirely possible that you could have a weak bladder, in which case that would be something to take up with your doc.  Yet, it's easily as likely that it's simply a matter of cleanliness.

You may be being a little too speedy during your time in the bathroom.  If you don't take your time, then chances are that you're not finished your business by the time you get up and out.  Your body doesn't recognize the sudden change and it still lets some slip out.  It could also be that you're not properly wiping afterward.

Any of those three could be the culprit here.  It's best to figure out in a type of trial and error sitch.  I'd say making a visit to the doc is your last step after seeing if the other two are tried and true, fixing your problem.

Hey girl, calmly explain your confusion to your mom and ask for her to clarify her opposition to you using a tampon.  Once a girl has started her period, she's able to use a tampon, whether or not she's a virgin.

So hey I had that question about it sorta hurts when I pee and it would be red when I wipe? Well I just drank cranberry juice and it was gone so yay. But since then, like some things changed. So I can just be standing and being normal, but then all of a sudden I need to pee sooo bad. And I can't hold it in at all! UGH I hate it. I've been having to change my underwear like 3 times a day because sometimes so much pee would leak out. Could I just all of a sudden have a weak bladder? I mean maybe that whole pee thing like changed my bladder?

So starting yesterday I had to go to the bathroom a lot... like I would go and a minute later I had to go again. When I would pee, it was only a little and then it would hurt when I was done going. When I wipe there would be like blood on the toilet paper! Two years ago when I was 10, [I'm 12 now] the same thing happened. But it went away the next day.
So far it's been going on for 2 days. I didn't get my period yet... So I dunno if this could be it. Should I seek a doctor? Is it a bladder infection? Please help!!!

Hi- So, I have some questions. Ah,ok,so I am 12 years old, and I am in 7th grade, but I am small. I have people constantly guessing my age,( I have had guesses all the way to 7) but anyways, I don't know much about my down there, boobs, and all that. I haven't had a "talk" with my mom about any of that. Last April, I started wearing a trainng bra. I had to do scoliousis testing(whole school) and when I told my mom, she said I should prob. start wearing a bra,So, up till last week, I wore a trainning bra. I was going through one of mr dressers when I found some padded bras. I looked at myself and figured, well maybe it was time to wear one.(girls in my clss are, and a couple are going through "it" One girl is my BFF. When they talk about it (basicly) is gym, I feel leaft out, because she will say something to my other friend about her "p", and its like they are talking in "code" she acts like I know nothing about it. One time my bff, after she made a comment to my other...........

Hey crescentdawolf, since discharge is white or clear, that could be what you're seeing. Just be sure you're washing really good down there and you should be okay. If you begin to notice any irritation I would head to the doctors. Hope this helps! Xoxo

No, you can wear a tampon while on your period even if you haven't had sex yet. Tampons do not go far enough in your vagina to break your hymen, so you are fine!

You're welcome to tell your mom if you want, but you don't have to.  No, it's not bad to shave entirely as long as you don't irritate the skin.  It's best to shave going with the direction of the hair, and the red bumps are likely to be either ingrown hairs or irritation on the skin.

Like many things in nature your period cycle is imperfect. This happens to many girls. Your body just isn't ready yet for some reason or another. If you know for certain that you are not pregnant, then there is nothing to worry about.

Hey girl! If you are drinking a lot of liquids throughout the day, that could explain the problem. Try wearing a pad to prevent any leakage. If you are having major concerns, I'd suggest talking to your doctor about it!

Hey girl, wearing a pad is a great idea and it's totally normal! My only suggestion would be to change your pad or panty liner frequently to avoid the growth of bacteria. Otherwise, it's possible that this could lead to infection. Just make sure to change it regularly and you'll be good to go!

You're not a freak! It's actually a totally normal issue and a lot more people are dealing with it than you think. Personally, I would give my doctor a call and explain the situation to him/her. A professional can help you come up with ideas to control it! As for your friends, it might be hard for a couple days...but chances are, the weekend has made them completely forget or lose interest in the fact that it happened. In middle school and high school, "scandals" like this are quickly replaced by other gossip-worthy things. So even if they are talking about it Monday, they WON'T be for long <3 Hang in there!

I have a lil pee prob too. I ALWAYS have to pee. It's kinda like a nervous bladder, except even if I'm waiting for something, sitting in class at school, eating, watching tv, or everyday things like that I hav to go! It's like a serious urge like "potty dancing". Bit when I do go, only a lil bit comes out... Nothing is wrong with ya! This is totally normal and lots of girls experience this sometimes. It could be a sensation caused by excitement and adrenaline, but either way the exercises in this article can help to strengthen the muscles down there and make the "Gotta go!" sensation seem less urgent. But as the article says, it might help to talk to your doctor about this. You don't have overactive bladder (like actually peeing way too much), but it's still a problem that's getting in the way of living a normal day! <3

Yep, both are totally normal! Just make sure you bathe regularly to keep yourself feeling fresh and clean. If you need a little "clean boost" in between showers, try getting feminine hygiene wipes and carrying them in your purse. The only time this isn't normal is if any odor comes with an itch. If that happens, get to your doc - it could be a yeast infection and you need to get that taken care of! <3

i play soccer and i had my period one time when i had practice. i wanted to try using a tampon so i went to the bathroom and followed the steps to insert it. it didn't feel right because it felt like it was going to one side. i decided to just take it out but when i tried, i felt like if i pulled it out, i would yank my inner organs along with it. it was so hard taking it out and took me a good 5 minutes until it was finally out and started to cry because it was painful. when i looked down there to see what was up, i noticed that my vagina has two holes! it looked like there was a wall of skin in the middle of it. it is like looking up at your nose. is there something wrong with me? will it go away on its own or do i need surgery or something? i told my mom about it but she just brushed it off.

A yeast infection won't make you dizzy, but it could be the reason your itching! Head to your doc for a test, or pick a home one up at your drugstore (they're made by vagisil).

Sorry, but there's no getting out of this - you don't want to go, but you have to. It's a holiday - and holidays are best spent with loved ones! So try to turn around your negative thinking into positives. Instead of thinking, "Ugh I hate pork, I'll have nothing to eat," get excited about the pie desserts, or cranberry sauce, or green bean casserole, etc. Instead of focusing on those awkward "you're growing up so fast!" convos, think of the loved ones you'll get to see who you haven't seen for a long time (grandparents, cousins) - you're lucky to have a big family who want to pay attention to you, even if you don't like it so much. It's because they love you! Try to be thankful for the things you have and use today as a chance to enjoy that. It's only ONE day a year - you can get through this <3

Hey girly, I think you should ask your doctor what would be best for you to apply to get rid of it. Everyone's skin is different and you don't want to use something that will make it worse. You can still be fashionable while covering up your chest. You can always throw on a cute scarf, hoodie, or zip up jacket. Hope this helps!! Smile Smile

Mod Mod Mod I posted something relevant to this a few days ago, but I need some more advice. My mother doesn't like me watching Degrassi because some people have told her its not a good show. I would be devestated if I could never watch it again. It talks about normal teenage struggles, so I don't see a problem watching it. It has also helped me become more confident in myself. She says she has to watch it and approve before she will order me the Season 10 DVD. The only problem is that she won't talk about it to me and she will never watch it because she's too busy. She hasn't had a conversation with me this whole week because she's too busy working. What can I do to get her to listen to me? Should I write her a note or something? ok, my best friend that ive known for 8 yrs still pees her pants when she laughs, i mean, its whenever she starts laughing hardish, she pees her pants. last weekend, my parents brought her on a trip, i made her laugh by doing something stupid, and she peed. same with the time b4 tht and the time b4 tht one too! i know 4 a fact its on accidents, i mean, it upsets her so much that she starts crying cuz it happens at skool(we r in 7th grade), out of skool, with friends, i feel bad cuz last week she had to sit in her pee 4 almost 2 hrs on the ride home. what is causing this? what should she do? any tips on what to do? anything will help! thx.




Hey girl! Some people just have some problems with their bladders and cant control what happens. The best thing to do is just be there for her and not make fun of her. Next time you go on a long trip bring an extra pair of shorts incase she starts laughing again.
