Cheating... or harmless flirting?

 
 
Okay, so I have a boyfriend and he's AMAZING when he's not around this girl in my grade who's rather flirty. She won't leave him alone and always flirts but if I go anywhere near my boyfriend, she casually "walks away" but when it's just me and him, he's totally fine and sweet. What's going on?
 
Uh-oh, chica. Sounds like this girl is starting to encroach on your man.  As for right now, she's definitely towing the line between "okay" and "not cool."
Is your boyfriend actually doing anything wrong? Or is it all this girl's doing? Is it harmless flirting? Or is it serious macking on your man flirting? There are a lot of little factors that are just as important in finding out what's going down here.

Either way, you're going to need to have a face-to-face chat with somebody. If you're boyfriend is an active participant in all of the flirtatiousness, then he needs to own up to it. Let him know that it makes you uncomfortable. If he's a good BF worth keeping around and there's really nothing suspicious happening behind your back, then he'll understand without making a fuss.

On the other hand, if he's not the real problem, and instead it's simply this chick getting involved where she doesn't belong, then you've gotta' go right to the source. Pull her aside next time you see her and let her know that you have no problem with her being friends with your boy, but you'd really appreciate it if she'd step back a bit with the flirting.

At least your boyfriend wasn't stupid enough to come straight out and tell you he was cheating. I was in a musical with this guy and we started dating. At the end of the musical I asked him for his number, and he said, "I can't call girls other than my girlfriend."

u should definitaly a little "talk" with this girl and tell her to "back off my man" but in a sweet tone then u should go talk to ur boyfriend about because if this is bothering u, u should tell him... because the first rule in the book, well my book to relationships is that ALWAYS need to be honest because if ur not, u might go down the right pathSmile

I really need help! Lately I've been feeling really down because in the summer I used to go on innapropriate sites and watch innapropriate stuff and it's eating me alive because I'm too young and scared at I might get sued or something. Am I overexadurating? Do a lot of girls do this? Now I'm scared to tell my parents. How do I get happier? I don't think I will tell them.




Hey babe,

A lot of girls do this, but that doesn't make it ok. Like you said, you need to be 18+ to go on most of those "inappropriate" sites, so it's off limits. But with that said, you won't go to jail or get sued. What's done is done and it happened a long time ago. Plus, they don't know who in your household was using the websites - it could've been an older bro, a parent, etc. Try to relax and don't worry too much about that. But you know you shouldn't use those sites at your age (or maybe even at all - it's a personal choice), so try to replace that behavior with something else that makes you really happy. Playing a sport, writing in a journal, painting, making clothes, or even surfing the web and going to safe websites could help take your mind off it! <3
