Decoded: Yes, your guy wants to spend the day with you and make it special, but that does not mean that you need to go overboard to make it the best day ever. Your date can be simple yet romantic, and still be just as special as the movies. Remember, Valentine’s Day is about you two as a couple, so keep him in mind while planning.

Hey girlie,

Try getting him a small gift and giving it to him in a casual way. That way, if he doesn't give you one, nothing to worry about! Smile A couple homemade cookies in a cute bag (that you distribute to some other close friends too) or a little box of chocolates could be a cute gesture and make him smile! There's no way to know for sure if our crush likes us back unless he tells us, but that shouldn't stop ya from flirting, getting to know him better, and giving it a try. Who knows what could happen! Smile

Aw, cute! I'd probably try to make that week extra special for him by giving him a little gift each day - since Valentine's Day is a Tuesday, maybe a Sunday gift, Monday gift, and Tuesday gift? On Sunday, try giving him a bunch of sweets that you baked at home (brownies, cookies, etc.). On Monday, you could give him a CD of great songs, cheap tickets to his fave band's concert, a shirt that fits his personal style, etc. On Tuesday, give him a cute "kiddie" Valentine and ask him out for an early dinner after school (or actually at dinnertime, if you have time). Making it a celebration that lasts over a few days will definitely make him feel special!

Hey Girl,

It's easy to convince yourself that you might be "the one," but if your crush has a pattern of breaking up with girls in that short of time, chances are that he would be the same with you. It is possible that you guys could have a long and serious relationship, but why be with someone with that relationship history? His past girlfriends were probably hurt by the breakups, and you could get hurt to. If you still want to ask him out, you should have signs that he likes you back. Does he make an effort to talk to you, or ask about your day? The more it seems like he likes you, the less chance you have of getting rejected. Asking a guy out can be a good thing, but take some time to think if he's really worth it before you do it. Good luck!

Okay, so I have a big problem. My BGF (let's call him E) is going out with one of my best friends (call her T). So he kept bugging me about who I like because he didn't know anything 'personal' about me. So I lied to him the first day, then he asked "is it me?" I said yes cuz it was sooooo true. Then I said but I don't like you as much as I like another guy (k). I told him plz don't freak out and I don't want this to ruin our friendship, he says it won't.
Another thing is I let him talk to T on my phone. I read the texts (wasn't trying to be nosy) and he said that he needed to talk to me. She replied ummmmmmmmm ok then byeFrown
He said I'm sorry then she texted back saying she was me. She has lied a lot, but I don't want her to find out I like him. Please help!

@marlayelram I have the same problem! I really like this senior and he is so unattainable... He tells me I'm hot, walks me to class, and tries to make me laugh all the time. But, he's a senior... and he's hot so he could have any girl in the school :/ I really don't know how to react when I'm with him.

Speaking of Valentine's Day...I have a really funny story actually. You see, I'm in 8th grade so I'll be going to High School next year. Recently, we had to choose a day that we would be available to meet with a High School guidance counseler to pick our classes for next year. My parents are divorced, but this was important so both of them were going to the meeting with me. I got the paper in Homeroom about when my meeting would be, and it turns out my mom sort of forgot that the 14th was Valentine's Day when she filled out the form. So now she has to spend about half an hour with my dad, her ex-husband, on Valentine's Day. Of course these things really only happen to me Frown I'm used to it though. It's actually kinda funny. I also don't have a boyfriend, so Valentine's Day is useless at this point.

My friend arrives at my school on January 4th so she instantly. Goes after my bgf who I use to like but now is just my friend she starts an innocent poking war with him and starts to like him he is stupid anD doesn't notice. So he gets surprised when she sends him a love note and none of my friends bother to tell me so he tells me and I ask him if he likes her he says I dunno maybe kinda yes so she talks to me on the bus and I say I can't tell her what he said but I dunno so she calls me 40 minutes later saying she texted him and he said something about me being jealous because I asked him out and he rejected me my friend asked him out for me on a dare I am so confused an realize I still have deeper feelings for him I am so messed up!!!!!

So he commented on likeing me amd my friends shoes (converse rock!!!), though he was smiling and looking at me when he said it.. he was jocking around cause he was wearing converese. I got out in this game we played in p.e and he gave me a hue grin, which i responded with a sweet smile. Flirty smiles = awesome! They can totally be a sign that he's crushing! It's like the "go-to" way to let someone know you like them. But like you said, it's possible he's just being super friendly and doesn't have anything romantic in mind. It's hard to tell just based on some sweet smiles here and there Smile Try talking to him more, at school and online/through text/outside school. Grow closer to him and flirt - then see how he responds!

Aww, congrats! That's so exciting! Dating a guy who is one year older is actually not a huge age difference, even though it's unfamiliar to you right now. Totally understand taking it slow though - just try hanging out with him and seeing if you two "click" like you want. Don't force anything and just be yourself! Try to find the things you have in common, have fun, and relax. It won't be 100% smooth since it's your first date (there might be awkward silences, etc.), but give it a chance! As long as you have shared interests and you get along/respect each other, that one year difference is no big deal Smile

Try texting him and apologizing for K and C getting involved, giving him an annoying note, etc... but then slip in a short, flirty sentence that says something like, "They weren't lying though, haha Smile" It'll keep things light but it'll also get the point across! But don't annoy him if he isn't texting back (not that you are - once a couple months is totally cool) - it either means he's not into texting or he's not really sharing your feelings. I know that second option is way harsh and I hope it's not that, but you don't wanna text over and over just in case that's the way it is <3

Some prefer simple outfits like a pair of jeans and a tee, other are interested in form fitting clothes like mini skirts and crop tops. You don't need his number just yet! Make small talk in class about how you're sooo nervous for the test, ask him a homework question, friend him on Facebook, go over and say hi at the basketball game or school dance. Do these little things to get more comfy around him. That way, asking for his digits won't seem like it's coming outta the blue. Get to know him better and then tackle that issue when it feels more natural to ask for it! <3
